This school is absolutely horrid. This school has given me depression and anxiety, both because of bullies. There's fights basically every week and everyone has a problem with every little thing. If you just look at someone for to long they will have a problem with you. Giving me anxiety and a habit of looking at the ground and/or walls. Many students agree with me on this and this should be changed. Staff barely do anything about the bulling and at the worst point, fights, suicide notes, the bully will be tickets, ISS, or will be suspended up to 4 days at most. Me and many other students do not feel safe at this school and it HAS to change.

My child was depressed, deflated, left feeling unsafe, questioned her whole personality, and started doubting her own abilities. I won't mention the schools involvement with outside divisions that made my child feel even worse by trying to make my child lie about personal things. WORSE experience move, put your child in charter, or home school. I wish the school would close!

Through my three years at the school, I could see all that was wrong. There was a teacher who would insult students, after at least 100 compliants, he left on his own accord. This is one of many examples where the school didn't take any initiative.

This school really lacks caring teachers, appropriate response on bullying, and academic help for students. My child struggled in Math. No matter how much help we were, she still stuggled. My child asked for help on several occasions only to be told to "go figure it out".When she came home and told me about how a young man slapped her in the face at lunch and she went to the proper staff, she was told to put her complaint in the "bully box" and nothing was done. I became very irritated and had to complain to someone higher in order to get anything done. Now that she is at a different school, she has past the istep (very high scores) When I attended NMS, it was a wonderful experience & I wanted my children to have a wonderful experiance, instead it was one of the worst. Some parents like this school, I just don't understand how. The after school program that is suppose to help the students with homework, is a JOKE. When I went in to see how things were going, children were just socializing, doing what ever they wanted. Using it for social time instead of homework. Since there was very little structure provided, what else do you expect young teens to do?
