I moved to Silicon Valley to ensure that my two children could continue their Waldorf Education in an established Waldorf school. I had high expectations and the school has exceeded them. My children's teachers are devoted and attentive, working with me to ensure that they are well supported in their grade and their stage of age development. The teachers at the school are of an exceptional caliber and bring a joy of learning and a commitment to the children under their guidance. The school takes a progressive approach to education. While some Waldorf schools can be dogmatic or overly traditional, I've found this school to embrace the innovation and spirit of discovery of this region, bringing a freshDespite being located in a fast-paced, high-achieving tech environment, the school builds a tight-knit community focused on slow, meaningful growth. Families are heavily involved in the school community, with seasonal festivals, parent enrichment events, and regular community connection creating a strong sense of belonging and shared values in a region that can often feel disconnected.

Whatever you do,do not waste $40,000 a year sending your children to this school. The teachers and administration are highly dysfunctional. They are unable to hire and retain quality teachers because they pay poverty level salaries. The teachers are overworked and stressed out and the students suffer as a result. There is A serious lack of competent leadership. Many parents bring their children to Waldorf because they have learning or social emotional difficulties. However, there is absolutely zero special educational support for those with learning disabilities, which is about 60% of the students in the school. When I inquired about educational support for my daughter, I was told she gets it every day. I questioned the staff how that would be if there is nobody in educational support and I was told that the teachers watch her play on the playground and that is their idea of educational support. However, she has no social emotional difficulties, she has dyslexia and dyscalculia so watching her play is not going to help her at all. it is absurd that they consider this educational support.

It’s a simple equation. If you want children that are happy, healthy, have a zest for life and engage wholeheartedly with the world around them, then Waldorf is your answer.Having been through Waldorf education K-12 myself, when it was time to choose a school for my children Waldorf was the obvious choice. The school cares so much about their students, nurturing their innate capacities to become confident individual thinkers and empathetic world citizens.
