If your. Hold has an IEP the school is unwilling to provide many accommodations and is extremely hard to work with.

The school makes students do social emotional support curriculum. All emails sent to students by school have a copy sent home. Important events are well communicated with the parents. Students at the school are pretty nice depending on what crowd your child likes hanging out in. Course rigor ranges from very easy to very difficult depending on Honors or AP courses. Many people I know children have gotten into top UC's like UCLA and UCB. Overall Good school.

I have two children at MHHS (10th, 12th), and so far they have been very happy with the curriculum and the school culture. Communication with parents is good, and staff is friendly and helpful.

The school is amazing. The building is amazing and the teachers are amazing. The teachers take the pain to actually teach the subjects and do not rely on hard-working students to carry the burden of the school rating. It has a perfect mix of education, fun, sports, and co-curricular activities. A student going here automatically becomes a well-rounded student and at the same time, the school gives enough opportunities for students to excel in their forte.

stupid school, attendance policy very stupid. my daughter has to attend incessantly saturday schools. Horrible teachers especially. They have a lot to fix. Also, the school keeps many things quiet so the parents don’t get involved.

This school is a fairly new school. It is still building buildings and getting programs in place. 2018 was the first 4 year graduating class of MHHS. I believe the school and the leadership has great promise with what it has in place thus far. I believe the workload can be a little more rigorous and the grading does not line up with tradition grading compared to other school districts making effort by the children a little lax from what I've witnessed. The counselors and principal can be a little more communicative especially when it comes to short days. But the school makes great use of technology, group learning experiences, a chance to earn your AA while in high school as well as coursework that aligns with The students career choice.

I have two students at MHHS who are both thriving. The teachers are communicative, engaging, and invested in their students' success. There are tremendous opportunities regardless of a student's interests with classes ranging from visual and performing arts, to robotics, engineering, and AP/Honors classes. The student support period each day where students can seek help from their teachers is a tremendous asset. The chrome books, and technology driven instruction is really preparing our students for real world jobs and education after high school.

I came from a more advanced city of pleasanton where I actually learned many things and loved it! But as I have move into Mountain House, the learning system of the school is certainly poor when compared to the schools of Pleasanton, CA. My only conclusion would be that Mountain House is an inexperienced, rural, and poor city, not like Pleasanton, so I do hope that Mountain House would grow into a big city just like Pleasanton or even Dublin have.

This is a cutting edge school that doesnt issue you 50lbs of school books to carry around in your backpack all day, they issue every student a chromebook and everything is accessed online. It's hard to do that at an older school already heavily invested in books, it's really only something that can be done at a new school, and we're leading the way. Parents can track their kids progress online through a portal that lets you see what assignments every teacher has assigned, what's been turned in but not graded yet, what's been turned in and graded, test scores, etc. Students complete homework assignments on their chromebooks and turn them in online too. They have plenty of courses that offer college credit too. I have a friend whose son is going to be graduating this year from MHHS with a college degree! There's a new home school offering through the school too that allows students to complete their classes from home while still being able to participate in team sports the school offers and have full access to the campus and library. With this program you can actually graduate early! In some cases students were able to graduate a year early because they completed high school at their own pace through the home school program. There have been some learning curves starting a new school like few others out there but the leadership at the school is very good at taking feedback and making adjustments. This is a great school.

Our school is barely 3 years old. We are completing our final plans for the high school by 2017. Yes, it did have a rocky start, but it has improved greatly. Concerning the problem that parents can not be involved with the children with the homework is not true. Parents can make accounts, receive emails, and look at their grades at their own time. It is a very interactive school. In the beginning, I admit, the teachers were a little bad. However, faculty have taken action, and have found replacements, and did extensive searches throughout classes. Our athletic programs have gotten many support. Our visual arts and music have also gotten a lot of support. In the final plans, we will be getting our pool, theater, library, and other facilities. Yes, our school has just started, but I predict in the few years ahead, our school will be greater than it is now!

They've deployed technology without understanding it's use. They failed to understand and modify curriculum to utilize it. This has lead to having multiple digital baby sitters in rooms with no effective direction. The students are left to sort out the technology, or abuse it. Those students who want to achieve do so, the others simply waste time with whatever distraction they can find online.The staff is overwhelmed by this, and by basically not understanding the problem cannot resolve it.Now they do whatever they decide reflexively without any goal or guidepost. Unless major administrative changes are made MMHS will sink to a sub 600 school.

This school had a lot of issues. The most significant is the teaching methodology. They give students a chrome book and they are required to watch all lectures at home, on YouTube. At school, they are expected to quietly work on their chrome books doing assignments. The inky teacher involvement is when a student is allowed to approach the reacher during class and ask a question. This is strictly between the teacher and student--no class input and no bouncing ideas amongst each other. This severely hinders the learning process. Over half the students had to attend mandatory summer school for math because they all failed. I believe the number was close to 70%!! A significant number if students also failed history and science. This is unacceptable.

As a Freshman student who attends this school my experience this year has been under average. With the fact we have leadership that would spend more money and invest in our sports rather our education doesn't seem right. In the beginning of the year we received cheap chromebooks that barely meets the functions/activities we do with them. Many of the chargers broke within the first couple of months and we were being charged for a new one that costs at least $25. They also cut the band budget when already a room full of at least 30 students barely fits not considering a lot of new students will be enrolled into band. We were supposed to have a theater built for the performing arts but since that our budget has been cut I do not see that happening any time soon. Overall the school to me needs to rethink how they spend our budget money.

Overall I love Mountain House High School. It's such an amazing environment for me and my fellow students. At first I had my doubts with the chromebook system but they are much more useful than textbooks and they are certainly easier to carry around. I am learning so much and having a great learning experience here as a Freshman. The sports programs here are also really awesome. We have great facilities including two hardwood basketball gyms, a baseball and softball field, a high quality weight room, and a beautiful turf football field with an all weather track. The coaches were also great and I loved playing football and basketball. Coming into our first football season we were expected to lose all of our games but we went 5-5 and had 3 shutout wins thanks to Coach Mac and our coaching staff who were brilliant the whole season. We also have an amazing basketball program with amazing coaches who really know what they are doing. On our freshman basketball team Coach Gary and Coach Freddie worked us extremely hard but he was amazing in taking a team that was initially all a bunch of flashy dribblers and sharpshooters who didn't play together and turned us into a power team.

Overall, the teachers are qualified and supportive. However, the administration needs new leadership. The school spends its money on football field but not library or career center or academic resources. Students receives a $50 10" chromebook that not met the standard to be considered "techology" school. Books are taken away and students read off their text from a 6-font screen. I just spent $200 buy textbooks from amazon. Admin hires P-T teachers and make students take 0 periods to save cost. Over 200/550 stud attend zero periods. Leadership of the school care $ more than the quality of resources providing for students. Unless there's new leadership in school, otherwise it will remain below-par compares to other Calif schools.
