A wonderful school. I worked in the Moscow School district for many years as a substitute teacher, long term substitute teacher and IRI test administrator. I felt so welcome at McDonald Elementary every time I walked through the door. The teachers are friendly, helpful and very on top of giving each student their very best. Now, my children are attending McDonald. We have had nothing but the best experience. The teachers have always kept us informed of what is happening throughout the day and always get back to us quickly. My daughter absolutely loves this school and I can really tell she is learning to her fullest capacity. My son is in Developmental preschool. I feel that even though he is in preschool, everyone in the school knows who he is and/or takes the time to get to know him. He is thriving there as well. Above and beyond all of our expectations!

Either this site is rigged. Or some one keeps deleting all the comments that have low stars. I feel the staff at times can be very rude. The bulling has not improved. I do like the kindergarten teacher. I think working on people skills would help very much.

McDonald Elementary is a wonderful school! The office staff is always helpful and friendly. I have three children who attend McDonald and they love the school and their teachers. My youngest son is in kindergarten and has the most wonderful teacher. She is kind and patient. He had a difficult time adjusting to school but his teacher, the principal, and the school counselor were all very helpful in helping him adjust. Our fifth grader does have homework every night but it does not take hours for her to complete. All of our children's teachers are encouraging and genuinely care about the students in their classes. I do think school to home communications could be improved. But by far we are very happy to be here. We have lived in 4 different states and our children have attended four different elementary schools and McDonald Elementary is one of the best schools our children have attended!

Upper grade teachers at this school give way too much homework, as in 2 hours per night, expecting kids to "work" 10 hour days. Too little communication with parents, and teachers give too little regard for the students home life. I am dissatisfied with the teachers ability to provide ample instruction during school hours---they rely far too heavily on parents to provide extreme amounts of time at home to do the homework. I'm all for supporting my kids and having them do some homework, but over an hour each night is just ridiculous. Both the principal and teachers seem completely oblivious to the amount of homework that is being assigned, even though I've brought it to their attention several times.

All of my kids have attended this school. The education itself that they provide is fine and my kids have had some good teachers, but there were several times that I dealt with arrogant, demeaning, rude teachers who had little regard for students and their success, even going so far as to call students and parents names. Customer service is poor. Parents are expected to keep silent and not get involved until it's time to donate to the PTA. Kids are expected to sink or swim. If you want your child to succeed here, be prepared to advocate for your child and to deal with the problems associated with this school.

The office staff, principal, and teachers are very personable and easy to work with. I also have a son with Autism and they have worked hard alongside me to give him the best education possible. I have been very pleased with this school for the past two years. It's a very tight knit school with a good educational system.
