My spectrum child had an excellent experience at the elementary school. The administration was well educated and understanding of neurodivergent children. He really thrived at the school, because they understood gifted children, and they understood that not all children are exactly the same. That said, the middle school is very different. The administration is not as informed or progressive in the education of neurodivergent children. They want outgoing cookie cutter kids. Any kids who do not fit in their molds face discrimination and bullying from the teachers. I have been appalled by the childish behavior from teachers who should be able to hold their emotions in check. One even crumpled up my child’s schoolwork and threw it in the trash. Adults need to do better than this. Unfortunately at the middle school, these seem to be teachers who hate their jobs and hate any kid that isn’t cool and popular.

We could not be happier with Little Miami school district. We moved from Indiana this past summer and were really worried about our child starting over, but it has a been a positive experience for us. It's disappointing the bond didn't pass this time as the area has been growing like crazy and the district is bursting at the seams. I am hopeful it will pass next time. Even with the burden of being near capacity, they put the kids learning experiences first and have a very inclusive environment.

I have 5 children in the school district. My oldest who is at this school is blessed with autism. The special teacher deserves an award for all the wonderful things he does for the children. But with the district you do not know what is going to happen the next year. Or what building they are going to be in. Little Miami also supports the bullies and does not punish them instead they would rather treat the child being bullied like the plague and them in the seat a lone. If it was not for the special teacher I would move out of this district. He is that amazing. What other teacher would work 2 other jobs just to support his job at the school.
