This is a good school. The principal is good (I hope she stays) and the teachers are for the most part really fantastic. There are always one or two bad apples but isn't there always. My child enjoys going to school there. He is young so we have yet to experience the higher grades. This school is a better alternative to APS by far. Give it a try

Well, the enrollment has dropped so much in the last year they've completely closed off the 3rd wing of the school. Every 2 years there is a new principal. The district rotates teachers from school to school every year so the kids have lost that sense of stability and knowing what to expect every year. My oldest attended K-6 and had mostly great experiences with some disappointments. But my youngest has attended K-3 and it has been chaos. The teachers have to try something new every year to try and meet all the educational requirements. It's a moving target and the kids really pick up on the confusion. My daughter is slipping through the cracks. I come to class often enough to see that the teachers have lost control of their teaching environment. I'm comparing to this school's history. I know it could be better because I've seen it. It's disappointing.

Three of my children attend this school and have since kindergarten. Parent involvenment is encouraged at the highest degree in the lower grades. The new principal can come off as abrupt but seems fair. I like this school and hope that they will continue to get parents and teachers together to help educate our children.

I am a grandparent raising two of my grand daughters and they have attended Rt66 since kindergarten they will be entering 5th and 6th grade this year and it is a wonderful school. The teachers are absolutely looking out for the best in each child . The teachers genuinely care and work with the parents in making sure each child is on target or communicate with the parent and child to find a solution to get the child on target. I have had a very good experience with this school and would highly recommend it.

I am extremely dissatisfied with this school, as well as with the district as a whole. Teachers are severely lacking in people skills, as is the new principal. She is rude, indifferent, and rarely cracks a smile. I agree with the previous poster who stated that parental involvement is not promoted.

My daughter has attend Rt. 66 since Kindergarten. She is now in 6th grade and has done extremely well. The majority of her teachers have been excellent. The current principal I think is very fair and works well with parents. My experience with her has been great.

The teachers are mostly great. The principal needs to be retaught or replaced. She is all about looking good rather than doing good.
