I am so comforted to send my 4 yr old to oakwood everyday. All of the staff are so kind, and truly care for his learning and well being. I have seen my son grow into a confident, intelligent young boy in just his first year. We moved an hour south to live in Gilroy, to be able to send our child to oakwood. It is a decision that I am so glad I made!My niece who is entering 4th grade goes to oakwood as well. I have seen her THRIVE!! She is so intelligent, academically focused and well rounded. Every year she amazes me. Oakwood really helps each student be their best and reach their potential. It is the most positive and supportive environment I have seen. I also recognize that the amazing inclusive culture of the school starts from the top. They have the best management. Hands down.

My son has been a student at Oakwood for the past 7.5 years, and it continues to be the best decision we have ever made. Oakwood is an extraordinary school that boasts strong academics and inclusive, well-rounded extracurricular offerings. Oakwood teachers are incredible and are at the heart of what makes an Oakwood education so fantastic. They invest in their students in a way that nurtures growth, provides a foundation for excellence, and encourages students to challenge themselves. As a result, Oakwood yields some of the most articulate, thoughtful, insightful, and engaged students you will find anywhere. If you are looking for an incredible and rich educational experience for your child/ren, I encourage you to tour Oakwood. You will see and feel the difference immediately.

I am blown away by how much my kids have learned at such a young age at Oakwood. My daughter started reading just a few months into JrK and my son, who is now in JrK, is so interested in math and constantly trying to add different numbers together.I've loved all their teachers so much. Not only do they make their lessons fun and age appropriate, but they go above and beyond academics to support students. For example, one morning at dropoff I told my daughter's teacher that she was leaving early that day for a dentist appointment and mentioned that she was really nervous. When I picked her up later she was so excited to go to her appointment! Apparently, her teacher included a talk about dentists into her lesson for the day and totally got my daughter excited about getting x-rays done for the first time. It's a small thing but they are constantly doing things that show that they are looking out for the total wellbeing of my kids. I am so thankful that we chose Oakwood when we were considering all the preschools in Morgan Hill.

I went to Oakwood for grades 7-12 and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The longer that I am out of high school (I graduated in 2018), the more I realize how unique that is. I had personal connections with faculty and staff that gave me the support I needed to excel. I was able to get into all of the colleges that I applied to and follow my interests that I developed and were cultivated throughout my time at Oakwood. This is a wonderful school for motivated students that want to learn from passionate professors and teachers.

We have two kids who have been students at Oakwood-a current college Sophomore and a high school Freshman. The faculty and staff at Oakwood are very kind and responsive to our questions and care about our kids both as students and people. Our kids have thrived at Oakwood with the small class sizes, high academic expectations, and the overall support. There is a feeling of calm and peace on the beautiful Oakwood campus, which paired with amazing faculty and staff, contributes to a wonderful and safe learning environment for our kids.

Caring is the first adjective that comes to me when I think of my experience with Oakwood School! Our children are in excellent hands with them! Full 5 stars for the faculty at Oakwood school! The teachers are very good with communication with both the students and parents! If you are the type of parents to listen to the teachers instead of judging them your children will be the better for it. They are truly dedicated to making your children well rounded. They actually truly care!!! We love Oakwood school. The curriculum is very strong and homework is well assigned throughout the week, so it’s not overwhelming. I highly recommend Oakwood School!

Oakwood is amazing! I have two kids that attend Oakwood: my son in 2nd grade and my daughter in 6th. My daughter has been attending since 2nd grade and my son has been in since he was 4 years old! During our time at Oakwood we have enjoyed so much of what they have had to offer. The teachers at Oakwood have always been so supportive of our kids and the passion that they bring to teaching has helped both of them to be engaged and learn effectively in class and at home. The school has been a safe place for my kids to learn as we are always well informed about what is going on in the school and their steps to get our kids back into school after lockdowns has been amazing. The extracurricular activities that the kids have been involved with are always great from fun plays and musicals, sports, family events, and even *gulp* dances! There isn't much more I could say about Oakwood other than they staff is great and the kids are genuinely excited to be at school every single day and we look forward to seeing both of them eventually graduate from this great school!

Oakwood School is a lovely community that promotes happiness, positivity, compassion and confidence, in addition to academic excellence. Ever since our son joined Oakwood high school, we have constantly felt welcomed by the staff and fellow students. In this place, everyone is encouraged and supported to be themselves and pursue their dreams. Oakwood is a unique family centric community that combines individuality and collaboration in harmony. We could not ask for a better place for our child to thrive. Oakwood is of no doubt the highlight of our son's student life and our family is truly appreciative for everything the school has provided us.

My daughter attended Pre-K in Room 27 with Teachers: Alison, Staci and Tammi. Our experience was amazing! All of her teachers were very welcoming and supportive. This is a highly academic preschool and they teach a lot. There is some playtime but definitely not as much as you would get at your average preschool. If you are looking for academically inclined preschool with very kind and sweet teachers this is it!

My daughter started Oakwood at the beginning of her 9th grade year. This was her first year in a private school. My reason for taking her out of our local school district was due to the shift my husband and I started seeing in our daughter's demeanor. We noticed that our once sweet, happy child was slowly developing a hard edge to her personality. While waiting outside of our local public school (for two years) for my daughter to get out of class, I observed behavior and language from some of the students that alarmed me (yelling profanities at teachers & other students, wheelies on bikes through and towards traffic). As a result of my observations, my husband and I attended a tour and an open house at Oakwood. What we observed and learned about Oakwood almost seemed "too good to be true." However, because we spoke directly with the teachers and students on a couple of different occasions, we trusted that our observations were accurate and enrolled her. We are so happy we did! Over the course of the last two years, our daughter has become lighter and brighter in her attitude and overall personality. I whole heartily believe this is a result of the staff and students who consistently demonstrate a caring and respectful attitude towards one another. Additionally, the academics are excellent! Not just your "squeak by" with the basics curriculum. Although it has been an academic challenge for her to jump from her previous school to Oakwood, with the support of the teachers and other students, she has risen to the occasion. My husband and I recently purchased a home in another state and have not yet found a school that can come close to Oakwood in terms of quality and standards. Consequently, in spite of being eager to move, we are seriously considering remaining in the Bay Area for another two years so that she can continue her education at Oakwood.

We have been at Oakwood for more than 10 years. My children are growing into independent, responsible, academic achievers. I am confident that my children are being prepared for college and beyond. Sending our children to Oakwood is the best parenting decision we could have made for our family.

We had great experiences in elementary and middle school so far. The school adapted to the pandemic very well. Students had live classes and a structured school day after a couple days of shelter in place. They listen to parent's feedback and try to implement suggestions.

This is the best school in Morgan Hill. We are very happy with our experience here. The school has top quality teachers/staffs, and most of the teachers are very approachable and are willing to help students in every way. Small class environment provides high level of attention to students.

Fantastic. We are in our 8th year. It is a community we are proud to be a part of; a community which challenges our Children academically, interpersonally, and socially. I have watched my Children blossom into critical thinkers and risk takers. We love our school.

Not a great experience. Didn’t help my daughter succeed as a good student academically , we did that and for the price your paying you should get some support. The school community has lots of cliques .

This is our 5th year at Oakwood. My daughter is now a 4th grader. The teachers, staff, and the safe environment Oakwood provides are the main reasons we picked Oakwood, and we are so glad we did! My daughter continues to thrive at Oakwood. She is so happy and confident! She has such a bond with her classmates. We love the hands-on learning and the things she’s learning outside of textbooks. The teachers make learning fun! She is still so happy to go to school every morning! We are thrilled to see the quality in the education she is getting and in such a supportive, loving environment.

Overall, I can't imagine my child at another school. As much as I would like to move from the area I will stick around another 4 years so she can complete HS there. I feel the campus is a safe place for her to be, classes challenging and small, and staff that encourage her to succeed.

My experience at Oakwood has been very positive. All of the administration and teachers want my student to succeed, not only at school but in life. Class sizes are small so there is a lot of attention given to each student

After a frustrating half year at a local district school where my daughter was feeling like everything being taught was just review, we decided it was time to switch schools. My daughter transferred into Oakwood, where she immediately felt welcomed, challenged (in a great way), and overall excited to be there. The teachers are wonderful, they have ways to present the material in a fun, engaging manner. My daughter absolutely loves it here.
