You get what you put in as a parent. Don’t check the emails or texts or letters this school sends (and they send a ton) then that’s on you for not being engaged. Don’t follow up with teachers or check your child’s online portal for missing work or notes, also on the parent. There are some fantastic teachers at this school and the Steam Program is well run. Put in some effort as a parent and your child will excel.

The school promotion ceremony was presented very unorganized and and terribly orchestrated, as you walk in through the entrance where security checks you, they do not ask which student you are related to, which you are suppose to do since a student can only have 4 guests, the only thing they checked for was if parents had protection such as pockets knives which is unusual since the parents are adults and are equipped at a legal age and have protection for safety precautions since this school frequently shut down for dangerous reasons, it would be understandable if they were children that had knives, but they are adults, they also made parents throw away cigarettes, tobacco products and etc, which I’m suspicious of them keeping for themselves, they constantly gave multiple parents a hard time on petty reasons, to sum up the overall review of security, they were on a power trip. But it doesn’t stop there as the ceremony began OUTSIDE cold below 60 degrees, the teachers/presenters that would present the students names and awards, they would announce each students name and award at the same time, making it hard to hear who and which student got their award, as students practice and train for a special moment, staff should Aswell especially when they had multiple errors and are the ones ruining a moment that cannot be brought back, I am highly disappointed since I hear good things from this school, but it just might be the school itself giving themselves a good evaluation, but unfortunately this was not a good experience/memory. I will be sending my other other children to a different middle school, Im assuming I’ll have a better experience over there.

For Palm Meddle School, Moreno Valley, California ***There are excellent teachers and very good administration in Palm Meddle School. Although I understand work needs to be done to get this school up to the standards necessary for all students to achieve geometry level in 8th grade. Right now is not inclusive to all mainly due to resources. Education in this school strives to include all students not just a certain group. I hope to win money for Palm Meddle School for much needed projects, assistants to the teachers, and to provide that extra helping hand to those students that need the must academically. Lest remember that with the right type of instructional approached any, ANY student can thrive and succeed ones expectations.

My son is in 8th grade at Palm. This is his third year. I'm content with the way the Principal takes care of things. I like how they encourage and motivate kids with award assemblies. At Palm Middle School kids can find one of many clubs. I really like how teachers have before and/or afterschool tutoring. The afterschool program Think Together is great, the coordinator is great.
