The office personal is bad. They seem like they are always angry and don’t want to be there. When you come in and say Good Morning it’s like you’re talking to the wall. If the office personal is unhappy to be there why do they go. It’s upsetting that you can’t communicate with them cause they don’t help you. Lack of miscommunication

I wanted to like this school. But, I was sorely disappointed. My daughter felt anxious when at school (this was new). They spent way too much time watching TV. Indoor recess was TV or tablets. 5 year olds need to play and do art! The teachers seemed annoyed to be there. Office staff seemed almost angry when you walked in, no matter how friendly the parents were. Lunch staff were unhelpful to the younger kids who asked for help.Communication was terrible, very lacking. I spoke to other parents who were just as frustrated. I wish there had been more recent revies when I was looking at schools.

NorthRidge is a great public elementary school, our child has been attending since TK and all teachers do try their best to achieve NR objectives and goals. We have a new principle and he is friendly and approachable. Both Teacher and Parents are involved in school activities and volunteer & donate their time and funding for kids. It's nice to see this rare community involvement in modern time. Our RoadRunner Booster Club volunteers of parents/family members really go above and beyond their time/effort to do their best for the kids.I'd recommend parents get involved and support/serve your kids' school, you get back what you put in. Contribute and be part of solution and stop complaining.

9 out of 10. With a bit better leadership and more parent involvement, it would be a 10

The principal is never around, I mean never around... When she is on site, she tries to sweep any incident under the rug to protecting her end of year evaluation. She never contacts the parents regarding any incident's that occurred and I must say the bullying since she has taken over as principal is out of control. She wouldn't see this, because once again, she is NEVER there. The school was great before her leadership... The Assistant principal needs to take over as head principal.

Northridge has been such a great experience so far. Not just for my children, but for me as well. They always go above and beyond with activities and field trips! The teachers here are wonderful as well. They truly want to see your kids succeed. I am so thankful I am able to send my kids here!

My experience with this school has been great thus far. My child attended TK here and K. The teachers are wonderful, willing and able to help any way they can. They challenge the students and are extremely caring and respectful. They have an open door policy and they encourage parents to help in the classroom. Teachers demonstrate great skill and experience. Even the school secretary is professional and well spoken. What a fantastic way to model appropriate professional behavior to students. The librarian is another sweet person who always greets the children with a smile and encourages the love of reading. Parent volunteers are also great and their contribution is essential. Another thing that sets this school apart is the fundraising team, Roadrunner Booster, made up of volunteers who work endless hours planning and executing school events and functions such as: father-daughter dance, cookies with santa, spell-a-thon, walk-a-thon and harvest festival among others, and they help finance field trips and provide money for each classroom. North Ridge is the only Elementary school in our district that offers several opportunities for field trips. In 4th grade, students even have the option to go to Sacramento for a few days. I have only one complaint, traffic for drop off and pick up is horrible. I dread waiting in that long line of cars and if I want to park I have to be there at least 20 minutes before school starts. Additionally, I would like to reiterate that this school is the best in our district. Staff and teachers are truly devoted. However, I find that the true predictor of a child's success is the involvement of his parents; although this school is the best, nothing replaces the active participation of the caregiver. By the end of kindergarten a child spent on average 700 hours of time at school, and 52,000 hours of time at home. So, as parents we can make a huge difference by simply taking advantage of that time and show interest in our child's education. Encourage them to do well and don't complain about the teachers if you are not doing your part at home. The teacher and parent are a team and should work together to help the child thrive.

This school used to be good in the past. Unfortunately latest principal and some teachers with their unfair and biased decisions are ruining student's self steem as well as their academic future if they continue to stay there! Parents, be aware and don't let that happen! Be always on top of every thing that happening there and always be a strong support for your kids! Ask your children more often to talk about teacher's behavior in class and how they teaching and talking to students! Hope it helps, I don't want any kid nor any parent go through what we went! Thx

Teacher runs politics to parents and students... teaching and honestly should be first, not politics.

My son went to TK here and it is a great school. I love the teacher parent relationships. I love that there are alot of parents that volunteer and that helps the school and the children that go there to learn. I think this is the best elemantary school in moreno valley.

North Ridge is a great elementary school. The parents seem to be really involved in helping the school succeed in delivering a high quality education to their children. The teachers and staff are very caring and I appreciate how the teachers keep parents informed about the progress of their children. Kudos to North Ridege Elementary...!!!

This school was wonderful!! My child has been going to this school since kinder. I loved his old principle, he was very involved and was always smiling!! I'm sorry to say that I can not say that about the New Principle. I hardly ever see her smile.. and when she does its like she forces it :( It's sad to say but I'm not sure if the school is going to do as well as it has been doing in the past. There are less activities done throughout the year already because of the change. And other teachers have left also!?! I agree with the other parent We miss Mr. Knapp too!!! My son was devastated when the new principle came he said she is so mean. He asked me why isn't she ever happy...But I can say that the teachers love being teachers, they love the children so much! They make up for the bad principle.

We love this school, I have two children here and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The teachers are wonderful and the parent involvement is amazing! The principal is new and she is adjusting as are the rest of us, but she seems to truly care about the students and the school as a whole. My daughter struggled with reading and I had her teacher and my sons teacher offer to work with her afterschool because they want our children to suceed almost as much as we do. BEST school in Moreno Valley!

Im going to second this! This school is great one of the best in Moereno Valley. The only negative I can think of is we have a new principal and she is very by the book no leniency and seems unapproacable at times which can be frustrating. Besides the principal, all of the teachers are excellent and very helpful.

This school is an "average" Moreno Valley school. Disorganized, staff is unaware of dates and events, curriculum is average/below average. For a "magnet" school, this school is at the same level as your average school in the IE. For Moreno Valley, this is the best they have. - "It's Moreno Valley education."
