This school is genuinely so awful. I'm in my senior year of high school, and the trauma I experienced here still affects me. Now you may be asking, what trauma? So let's start from the beginning. In seventh grade it wasn't the worst, but it wasn't great. None of my teachers seemed to really care about the students or their education. There were many times when I'd ask for help and just be told to figure it out. I was being openly bullied in the hallways and not a single teacher did anything, even when I went to them and explicitly told them what was happening. Then Covid hit. Obviously the school can't control that, but the way they handled it could have been better. There wasn't much support for students in this time and our education was OPTIONAL. They made any online assignments extra credit. To my knowledge this was so that students without internet access wouldn't fail, which I understand, but it caused many students, especially those with disabilities, to fall behind. And now let's get into eighth grade, and if you think everything before was bad, this is going to be 10x worse. I was still being bullied openly in halls without teacher interference, but I learned to live with that. I was also being bullied on the bus. I had things thrown at me and I was treated as less than human. Towards the end of the school year one of my "main" bullies threatened to shoot me. Let me repeat that: he threatened to shoot me. I told a teacher, and she blamed a poem I read on poetry night and said that the school had warned me and my parents that it may receive backlash. It is true that the school warned me of backlash, but this wasn't backlash, it was a literal death threat unrelated to the topic of my poem. After that I was too scared to tell anyone else for a few days, but eventually I told my mom, and we went to speak to the principal. She didn't do anything. Not a single thing. She asked me when the incident occured and since it had been a few days I didn't know the exact day, but I told her the 2 days it could have happened on, but apparently it's too hard to pull footage from school buses so she didn't do anything. Please don't send your child here. They don't care about the students. Honestly, I'd avoid the district if possible because my elementary and high school experiences weren't much better and from what I hear from other students in the district the other schools aren't great either.

My child has always been an A and B student with the exception of C's in math. She currently has all C's, D's, and F's. I have attempted to get help from several different people in the school and they continually pass the buck. They don't return calls or emails until you contact the superintendent's office and they are not concerned with your child's education.

Absolutely horrible! The staff isn't even remotely helpful. This school has a serious bullying issue that they cannot get under control!

The dress code isn't enforced. The kids are allowed to use foul language and teachers say nothing. This school is very old and needs major major renovations. We haven't been impressed
