Vail High School was no longer considered a continuation and in 2000, when I graduated as School Queen for AAMAS & nominated School Princess, and Valedictorian, receiving the highest scholarship, most medals, and most scholarships awards it was challenging and things were not just handed to me. I learned that Vail's Faculty was very attentive towards students and the Teachers did an excellent job in motivating us for the future. I have no regrets going to Vail. I learned Computers, got my Driver's License and learned about Politics & Economics. Including giving a speech presentation to Montebello School Board Members for Senior Portfolio. I was in Journalism and made cover page for The Star Newspaper in the City of Montebello. I learned science, dissected a frog, took a tobacco awareness classes, along with other educational classes. I also took advantage of R.O.P., and learned a trade in Wood Shop. This school expanded my mind into a reality that Life had a purpose and in order to gain something you had to give effort to become number 1. I encouraged relatives to graduate from Vail. The school inspired students and the misconception that this school is a continuation, is faulty. I'm even looking forward to sending my daughter, (14) there because her current school is allowing her to fail, and I have made contact with the counselor and teachers and nothing has changed. I feel that the Teachers at vail show a deep concern that gives students hope for their future as a result I furthered my education by attending college. Thank you.

The Administration has addressed every concern that I have ever brought to them. They are receptive to open communication with the parents and students. I am so grateful for there positive leadership , example, metoring and caring for the students. I believe to enhance the reputation of the school, the term Continuation, should be deleted. My daughter fell threw the cracks at Schurr High School and didn't receivce the tools that would help her succeed. I have nothing but the ulmost praise for the teachers and admistration of Vail High School. If more parents would get invovled with the school and more importanly their child we will reap the benefits of continued success.
