The school needs teachers who will put in more effort, this school is severely behind in academics compared to other schools. Ap classes are rarely encouraged to be taken and often the school tries to remove them because of "low enrollment". Does the education of those few students not matter? Taking away the opportunity to try will not help students succeed. Administration needs to try harder as well. Students will not be motivated to learn when the teachers are simply reading off a workbook and having students copy, or when they don't even bother to show up to work, or when the school allows classes to have no permanent teacher for weeks/months at a time. Overall i enjoyed my time here due to the wonderful, yet few, teachers who care.

Sadly, this school is not what it should've been. As a former studemt, I've moved to Schurr and it seems way more organized and completed than Montebello High School is or probably will ever be.

I attend Montebello High school. It is a really good school. i think people should know that we are underestimated. People label us the underdog of the MUSD. They often compare us to our rivals Shurr high school.I for sure DO NOT appreciate that. I would like my school district to pay attention to MHS. They cut us out to benefits just because some people do not follow the rules. Not all of MHS's students are what you call "bad students". MHS is clean not as much graffiti in the school as people expect. The school does not have as much school spirit as the other high school I attended. All in all, i Believe MHS is a great school.
