We have on multiple occasions contacted the school and guidance counselor about bullying in the 5th grade classes. All of which have been handled poorly and we were told if our daughter doesn’t want to be bullied she shouldn’t be standing near the girl bullying her. Victim blaming. Our daughter has A-B honor roll, rarely misses class and is never a disturbance to others. Now several months after the first incident our daughter is coming home from school again upset due to extreme bullying from the same student but now more of the class is involved. (Other students have reported this same child bullying them as well!)Since we have been dismissed and so has our daughter we are left with the only option of going to the school board. How a school claims to have a zero tolerance for bullying and ALLOWS other kids to put their hands on mine is insane. They are in a primary area of growth and development, allowing this kind of behavior only sets a standard for how they will treat each other in the future.

This school helps the children with anything and the small class sizes allow for more focused learning. Members of the community help out every day, which shows the students how great community service is.

My child loves Moneta Elementary. He is in his 3 rd year starting with kindergarten. He enjoys going and the teachers have been fabulous. My daughter starts school this year and is so excited. I've been very impressed with the school. When my son started there, he had been in preschool for 2 years and couldn't even recite ABC, within a month after being at Moneta, he recited the entire alphabet without a mistake. We personally recommend Moneta Elementary.

Moneta is a wonderful small elementary school. The principal is a dedicated educator as are the teachers and staff that I have dealt with. Additionally, they are a 21st Century Grant school and a Title 1 school. This affords Moneta extra money and services. I particularly enjoy the after school enrichment that the 21st Century Grant offers. I am very happy with both of my children's progress at Moneta.

Moneta Elem. School is a great school. The teachers are very knowledgeable, highly qualified, and extremely caring towards all their students. They communicate well with parents and encourage parental envolvement in all aspects of their students' education. The comment from the other parent who stated that the principal told them "the majority of students spent time in remediation (which a polite was of saying catch-up)!" is incorrect. The students at Moneta Elem. all benefit from an Enrichment time each day in which students can receive remeediation, if needed, which others get to participate in enriching activities that challenge them. When making a decision as important as the school that your children will attend, I suggest that all parents listen carefylly to explanations given by the admininstrators and/or teachers at the schools they are considering and even take a day to observe some of the classrooms. Such an important decision should not be based solely on misinterpreting one conversation.

Moneta really is a fantastic school. My children attended this school for pre-k, k and 1st! My children loved this school! The staff was very loving, caring and ready to give all necessary support. The pre-k special education program is remarkable. My children would not be where they are today if it weren't not for Mrs. Ashwell and Mrs. Tuck. We ended up moving to a school district and attending an advanced prep style school. Let me just say we are thinking about moving back. Caring and compassionate staff at Moneta by far, outweighed the highly reccomended advanced prep school. Our children have their whole lifes to 'cram academics' I believe it's more important to let them be kids and learn as they go!
