This is not a diverse school. It is mostly lower class, if I had to guess by looking at the students and parents, as a whole. The entire elementary school is staffed by WOMEN. All of them. The PE teacher, I would assume does not have children by the way she speaks to her class. I have been in there several times and have overheard the way she speaks to them. It's belittling. Recently, there was a student who said she had to use the restroom and the teacher gave her a LECTURE on needing to go. SERIOUSLY?! These are CHILDREN. You should be encouraging them to ask to go when needed. Not demanding they act like they are in military school. How is THAT supposed to build their self confidence? Most of the teachers, not all, have a cocky attitude to them. They are NOT in general friendly. The office staff is also mediocre. The secretary acts like your questions are insignificant and you're a burden by even showing up in the office. The principal is great. She seems to care about your child, but is quick to blame others when something isn't done. If you don't "have" to enroll your kids here don't. In general, they don't care if you're student is behind and they don't care how your child will be treated. If I could have pulled mine last year, I would have. I'll be glad when this year is over and she can attend somewhere else.

My son attends 1st grade here and he surprises me everyday with how much his reading skills improve. They have the Leader in Me program here and it's great to see my son get excited when Lead group happens. Great school, amazing people!

My grandson attends the second grade here. When he visits, I am amazed when he enthusiastically tells me he's been studying the architecture and artwork of Friedensreich Hundertwasser and the sculpture of Andy Goldsworthy! GREAT JOB SUFFIELD ELEMENTARY!!!

I never expected to have so many issues with public schools. The school cares about getting the levy passed and their Ohio Achievement test scores. There are very few teachers that care about the children and not one school administrator cares!!! We are looking at private school now.
