I don't recommend bringing your special needs child here. The principal, teacher, and staff allows my son to play outside in 35 degrees weather in just his t-shirt alone. I've voiced my concern multiple times, it's been 2 months, they are still allowing him to be outside without a sweater. They don't care about your children's well being here.

Exceptional!! My daughter is in 3rd grade now and has attended since kindergarten. I have absolutely no complaints. My child is on an interdistrict transfer!

We recently moved to Modesto from the Midwest and so far we've been quite impressed with the GATE (formerly AT&G) program and my son's 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Tomao. She's everything you'd hope for in a teacher -- upbeat and positive, encouraging and keeps the academics challenging yet fun. I've also been impressed with the principal, Mrs. Wethern, who was quick to welcome us with a warm introduction to the entire office staff and a school tour. Since then I've found her to be very friendly and she makes herself quite available to the students and parents. My son has really enjoyed his first year at Standiford and I'm very glad we found this school!

I had the same experience as the previous parent about kindergarten class those teachers are horrible i pulled my son out and homeschooled him and this year i switched to Capistrano. My son would come home every day saying he was not as smart as the other kids it was just heartbreaking

After being at this school for my daughter's first year of kindergarten I decided to pull her out and find another school and am thinking about homeschooling after our experience there. I am so sad and had high hopes for this school but my daughter came home tired and stressed and often didn't want to go back and asked when the weekend was. Ms. Titus was extremely strict and had a way of making you feel like your child was failing. They make it very clear that they aren't there to baby your child and they better come prepared to do things for themselves. Tons of work and emphasis on sight words as they are tested often if hand writing wasn't perfect there was red marks all over it and along with sentences and structure at 5 years old! Recess was taken away due to not finishing assignments in class which is way too young of an age to punish these kids! Principal was new and had a hard time returning phone calls. A few parents even bullied other parents!
