My son attends Roosevelt. This is his second year and we are mid 3rd quarter. He tells me often how Roosevelt has been the best two years of his life. The kids here are great - every school has bad apples, but if your kid steers clear there’s not really an issue. He’s made a ton of friends. There are a lot of activities for the kids to do. During lunch they can play sports and hang out. Academically, my son has absolutely blossomed at Roosevelt. The staff really makes sure that the kids know how to access things like their grades and grade books to see how they are doing how to calculate their GPAs and the staff works really hard to make sure students are on track their whole time here. The teachers are phenomenal. They stay and tutor kids if needed and there is SOS tutoring Monday through Thursday every week. They also provide students with online tutoring through their computers on their Schoology. We’ve had a wonderful time at Roosevelt and I’m really sad to see my son go off to high school and leave the teachers and staff behind.

Absolutely horrible administration, nothing but issues from start to middle of school. The theft and fighting that occurs daily at this school is horrendous. Not only do they not care about the safety of the children they offer no solution to any issues. We are now looking to charter/private schools again. If you care about your children safety and education I would stay clear of Modesto city schools and this administration.

I'm not sure that those in administration care about the individual students and are quick to assume the worst in some students. Boys are treated differently than girls.

The teachers at this school are dedicated to student success. The underperformance is due to socioeconomic issues not teachers. Many students have little support at home or lack resources. The majority of the students are nice, polite and hard working. The administration works to foster respect and hard work. The principal is often seen out talking to students and parents. The office staff is great.

I absolutely love this school! The teachers and staff care about the students. I feel like my child is in a very safe environment. The school is very clean and cared for. The office staff is happy and helpful.

Im a student there this is thru my eyes what I see is that if you want your kid to learn then dont take them here home schoolings better most kids disrespect the teachers I always have homework because we never get to finish in class because some people its not like 2 or 4 its half the class theres also bullying of both genders yes brands matter in that school and Mr.sanchez always says "theres no bullying and if your being bullied tell me" I was bullied and told him guess what he did? nothing he let the kid off with the warning even though I told him that it wasnt the first time and I ended up getting a refferal from a teacher for defending my self from what the kid said even though he started the whole thing so if your a student you have no rights if your kid isnt in honors classes guess what he gets? Those books with writing all over them and if your in the honors classes you get the newest everything in my elective we dont have books so our teacher had to make us read it from the projector because the school dosnt care about us or what we need the school is realy clean but if your a student you have no rights there

My son went to Roosevelt last year and although there was some bullying issues, we appreciated the school's attempt to stop most of it. Overall, he had a wonderful experience during his two years at Roosevelt and loved his band teacher, Mr. Underwood (great teacher!!).
