If I could give this school zero stars, I would. The administration is completely incompetent, and the teachers don't seem to care about the well-being of the students at all! My child has been struggling, and despite multiple attempts to reach out for help, we've been ignored time and time again.Let's start with the lack of communication. Emails go unanswered, phone calls are never returned, and when you finally get a hold of someone, they act like you're the one being unreasonable! This is a school, for heaven's sake! I shouldn't have to chase down the staff to get basic information. The facilities are another nightmare. The classrooms are outdated, dirty, and in desperate need of repairs. The technology is laughably out of date, making it impossible for students to keep up with the modern world. It's as if the school is stuck in the last century, and they have no plans to change. But worst of all is the bullying. My child has come home in tears on more than one occasion, and despite multiple complaints, NOTHING has been done. The staff claims they have a "zero tolerance policy," but it's obvious that they do nothing to enforce it. How are students supposed to learn in such a toxic environment? If you're considering sending your child to this school, don't. Save yourself the headache and find somewhere that actually cares about your child’s education and well-being. This place is a disgrace.

I went to Burdick back in the 90's/2000's and have the best memories from this school. The teachers and kids I grew up with were all great! 2 of my kids are attending this school, and my other 2 have graduated from here. I could not be happier with my decision to have my children carry on in my footsteps and have the same experience. We have had 0 issues, the staff are all incredible! How cool is it that my kids get to have the same teachers teaching them that I used to have! Burdick truly is a gem for an MPS school. I feel my kids are safe and well taken care of at Burdick!

My children have been attending Burdick Elem. since 2011. We love this school and community so much we even moved closer to the school after the first couple of years. Burdick is in my opinion the gem of MPS elementary schools. Couldn't be happier with the staff, the community the awesome kids and other parents.

I have four of my own child, two step children, my boyfriend niece has her boys going there and my sisters son goes there, and dont forget I have a little sister that goes to Burdick a well. Plus I was in Burdick from 3rd when Mr. B first started there to when I left that school in 8th grade. It makes me feel great knowing that my family gets to learn from the same great minds who taught me. If you looking for a place to put you children Burdick is the place to be

We've had children enrolled at Burdick since 2009. Overall our experience with the school, staff and principal has been wonderful. The teachers have been approachable, open-minded and willing to make changes to meet the needs of our children. After having been accepted to a local gifted and talented school, we chose to keep our children with Burdick. There is a great sense of community, good family involvement, and many of the teachers volunteer their time for after school events. The one down side is the large student to teacher ratio, but so far our children have continued to receive individualized attention.

My son goes to Burdick school and he loves the school! The principal is such a cool guy and could retire but stays there because he says he feels privileged to be at the school. Their new music teacher is a jazz saxophonist. She has been on HBO even! WIll Allen's Growing Power just set up a greenhouse. The neighborhood is so quiet and residential and safe. Almost hard to find! It's tucked away many blocks from any main streets.

My son has been going here for several years. The teachers, principal and ancillary staff are outstanding! They have fantastic, motivated teachers giving 110% to keep all programs in this school. They still have a wood shop! They also have music, gym, art and private lessons in several instruments. They are partnered with ACE music program and provide lots of enrichment outside of the traditional curriculum. I couldn't ask for a better place!
