Teachers have resources to be very transparent about how your child is doing. And you know how your child is doing daily! Very open door policy. Moved here a year and a half ago and I am very, very pleased with the teachers. PTO is fantastic as well.

The school sent me a letter after the school year was over that my child would not be promoted to the next grade. Throughout the year this "teacher" would verbalize any behavior concerns with me but not once convey that my child was in jeopardy of failing the grade. No tutoring or additional assistance was offered. His report cards did not reflect my son's inability to complete the assignments. What I find troubling was that his Pre-K teacher expressed he was above NYS learning standards. Now all of a sudden he goes into Kindergarten with a teacher who has no experience in teaching first grade and now he's not competent to even pass at the minimum? This school focuses more on obedience than education!

This is an excellent, excellent school. Middletown school district gets a bad rep - I am puzzled as to why. I am so impressed with the school district thus far. My daughter has been attending the past three years. This is the only school district that I know of that has "centers" and where course work is customized to challenge your child's personal level - so advance kids get to focus on more advance things and if other need more time they are allowed to work in a group with kids at their level. Technology level is excellent. My daughter loves her teachers, principal. I am able to address any concerns and teacher and principal are very responsive. I would recommend this school to other parents. I can't say enough good things about the school.

Maple Hill Elementary is a diverse school. My daughter was in the 2nd grade and had an excellent dedicated teacher. She excelled in Math and Reading. School is dedicated to having the children read 20 minutes a day to enhance there reading skills.

My daughter attends Maple Hill Elementary School. Her teachers have been so nice and helpful and they have played an important role with encouraging her to succeed in her education.
