I have two children in this school. One child does extremely well academically and the other has a difficult time. I purchased a home in Middletown because of the school system. My child has an IEP and after 3 years of Covid remote learning all of the staff left. The principal, vice principal, teachers, and paras as well. My child needs a one on one but that person quit as well. After trying to make small gains and reading, writing and doing math on a below average level I am being told he needs to transition to middle school. I have requested to have him repeat a grade. The school feels he is ready for middle school although he clearly is NOT. They’re failing my child because he has an IEP. He doesn’t have the knowledge and ability of his peers. After 5 years of this school and so much sacrifice I would think that parents input means something.

The school is good overall. However parent cliques dictate student placement with best teachers. If your not involved with the school get involved otherwise your child may not end up with best.

My son went to the school for 2 years and I am really satisfied with his academic result and over all developments.
