Overall the teachers are great with the exception of one or two that call students names and the principal Ms. Soto-Pujadas lets them get away with it. Instead of firing one elementary teacher Ms Giler after numerous parent complaints, she didn’t let the district know and just moved her to teach older kids. Administration doesn’t take care of discipline and hide what happens at school. Kids are mostly safe but the same kids always punch or kick other kids and they go back to class like nothing happened. Scary to be in the same room right after you got kicked by another kid and they are still there with you just because their parents work for the superintendent and the school doesn’t want to report it. High school and the middle school teachers are great. Mr Coleman, Ms Ernst, Ms Harvalis, Ms Ponzoa, Mr Arrison are the best. They make the school great.

As a student at this school, I find myself enjoying my time while learning. the only thing I would say is that there are a few teachers that are not good at their job (1 or 2) the rest of the tecahers do a wonderful job teaching.

We are moving our child out of it. Students with high grades, and wanting to succeed are not supported, the school will sacrifice the students success if they can gain financially.

This school is an overall 7/10. The teachers are good for the most part and students are definitely expected to do their best. However, the food is atrocious. Also, there are no doors on the majority of the classrooms, so safety is a large concern for many students and parents. This is definitely not a traditional high school, so be aware.

I love this school and my son too. My son often asks me to stay in this school forever.. In prek we had Ms Chau, she is adorable, professional and competent so also Ms Hernandez Elisabeth who brought my child to love math and science. Thank you I prep and thank you to Mr Carvalho.

I do miss the PROPER school method I have been accustomed with for my whole life. When I first heard about Ipreps way of teaching I was pretty intrigued and actually was excited to see how it works. Now that I have tried it out I don't like it very much but I have to endure it anyways. Overall the school is good but it needs some tweaking in some areas. Some more than others like THEIR ACTIVITIES. They have ABSOLUTELY NO ACTIVITIES. If you are seeking to do art, music, dance, or sports in this school don't even try applying. There is nothing you can do other than take a darn (excuse my language) FLVS course. Again like I said the school has good education but if they added activities and more things to do in IPrep I would say the school is amazing and even great but since right now it lacks this I have to say it's an average school. I hope one day they improve on this and make Iprep a better school overall. Exeunt.

iPrep is made for the student who wants to learn independently. By that, I mean that the student will learn from a computer mostly. Most classes are based partially, if not entirely, on the use of FLVS content. . The model of iPrep opposes direct instruction. Although many students will sigh in relief when told they no longer have to listen to "boring" lectures, they should be aware that many iPrep students feel frustrated due to the absence of a teacher. Many students experienced grade drops from middle to high school, largely due to their inability to focus. Many students do transfer. Students should also be aware that iPrep is a small school (around 200 students). There are very little electives offered and the number of AP classes available is somewhat less than in other schools. Most students choose to take dual enrollment classes. A great deal of classes are taken through FLVS. However, FLVS does allow for a student to advance in credits. The environment itself is very safe. I have not heard of any cases of bullying. However, please be aware that typical teenage issues are still present at iPrep. . PS The reviews below appear to be written by faculty.

This is one of the best schools in the state. This school allows you to take your courses at your own pace. If you get far enough ahead, you can finish the course early and take another one. The entire point of this personalized learning is to have the ability to go far beyond what any school can teach you. Where other schools, you have a standard "teacher at the front of class" scenario, in iPrep, you have the ability to go into break-out rooms where you do individualized learning. iPrep is a fun experience where instead of a teacher boring you, friends are around you to keep you entertained. Work always gets done. The only people that don't do well, are the ones that want to leave the school.

Great school! Every student here last year passed the EOC exams, and a very high percentage of students here 94% passed the FCAT exams. There are very rigorous classes here, as all of the classes at this school are composed of either Advanced, Honors, or AP classes. The best part about this school, that appeals to most students, is the fact that each student gets their own laptop to keep for FREE for the duration of the school year. Very awesome school! Should get more recognition and acknowledgment.
