Good academics and a staff that truly cares about the kids sets LHS apart. They offer a well rounded and quality education to all. While it is small, my student was very happy there socially. I recommend LHS if you are looking for a smaller school that gives individualized attention.

There are a little more than 100 students 2016. Lutheran High is a small school. With that, comes more teacher to student time. The Principal and Teachers at this school really care about the students learning and they go the extra step needed for kids, whether it's tutoring or extra credit, they really are there for the students (and parents). I'm a happy Mom of a sophomore soon to be junior.

This is a very small school, but perfect for my daughter who is not quite ready for a fast paced, worldly environment. The teachers and faculty is positive and encouraging to the students. My daughter has a great relationship with all staff. She has the opportunity to participate in sports and other activities that she would've been denied at larger schools due to inexperience. This school has become a close-knit family to all students attending. The classes are orderly and the environment here is loving, caring and full of morality.

I went to this school and it was a big mistake. Academics and teachers are pathetic and if you haven't spent your whole life in a Lutheran church and/or Lutheran elementary school, you are pretty much an outcast and it's hard to be accepted. There's also a serious lack of discipline, kids pretty much get away with anything with little or no consequences. I'm surprised this school is still operating.

This school is going down hill really fast. The classes are small because, they can not get anyone to enroll their children there. I agree, administration is uncooperative and out of touch. The principal is in over his head. The athletics department is suffering badly. Their aren't enough kids for adequate teams in any sport. The teachers often have no previous teaching experience.Because of the enrollment difficulty, there's a clause in the contract that states, if your child is no longer able to attend due to expulsion, academics, etc. you are still obligated to pay the remaining tuition. Other schools in the area cancel the contract and you are no longer required to pay. This school is in dire straits and desperate. If it was a public school, the state would have intervened by now.

Small classes, teachers who care, a supporting, encouraging and safe environment, and an education tailored to the individual child have worked together to build my daughter's self esteem, work ethic, attention to detail and self motivation.
