Our sons absolutely love this school, and his teacher. We moved from another district in the valley, and I completely see a difference in our son. He loves going to school, his teacher has been just absolutely amazing. I can't say enough wonderful things about the school.

worst school!! Teachers or Principle don't care about students learning and well being.my child was left sleeping in class all day and the teacher text me 10 minutes before the school day ended to tell me my kid was sick all day....

This is my children's second year at Hawthorne/Hughes. I was apprehensive about sending my kids here after reading some of these reviews, but I'm glad I did. Their teachers have been excellent! They've done a good job of tailoring the instruction to my children's needs. For example, last year my first grader went to a second grade class for reading and math. From what I have seen, the new principal, Mr. Parker, is great. He seems to really want to help the school and its students succeed.

HORRIBLE! DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILDREN AT HAWTHORNE! It changed my daughter to the point where I almost didn't recognize my child anymore and just by switching to a higher rated school I see huge differences! The office staff didn't even have her birthdate recorded correctly! They were 20 days off and I gave them a copy of her birth certificate! The staff is lazy unless they're telling you there's something wrong with your kid.

A lot of these reviews are old and before this joke of a principal came on board. It's sad when you have legitimate concerns for the safety of your child and all you get from the principal are blank stares. She's awful, and one of the main reasons none of my kids attend this school any longer.

I had to change my daughter went it came to talk to the principal Mrs. Montez about my concerns and she did not even show that she listen to me. I was very frustrated.
