My two children go to Chatterton. It is well run and the teachers are very proactive. If a child starts falling behind in a particular area they are quick to reach out an suggest extra help. There are always lots of extra activities and PTA events.

Run fast if your child is not a typical learner. 50% of staff is at retirement age, set in a very antiquated method of teaching, and are perfectly content to remain willfully ignorant. The other 48% are mediocre, and the other 2% are fantastic, however they are the minority. Principal is uncaring and beaurocratic, and it trickles down to all levels. There are better schools in the district.

Got better in higher grades, the lower grades assignments are excessive and dumb. Common core is awful. The teachers were above average but since most are paid six figures I expected more. In private school you'd have stars for these salaries. Very low parent involvement here. New principal is awful. Doesn't want to lead. Doesn't seem nice either. Drop off is AWFUL. They treat school like fortress but still people walk in and out its ridiculous. No enrichment till grade 3, how cheap!
