Our daughter started at this school in 3rd grade and fit in well. Great teacher to student ratio. Pure education, no social justice indoctrination like you see at some public schools. Excellent caring teachers and staff is very supportive to the needs of the students. After 3 years at Challenger, we can strongly recommend it to any parents that want an excellent core education for their child. Students here are more advanced in their academics than many public and private schools. We have been very pleased with the school and would highly recommend it. The only drawback is the cost of the school is on the higher end for a private school in the treasure valley, but it is worth the expat cost in my opinion

We moved to Boise after my daughter finished her Kindergarten year at charter school, which had best test scores in the city where we lived. I wanted the best possible academic intensive school for her, and we chose Challenger. We had to repeat the Kindergarten year because there simply isn’t a public school that can parallel the wealth of knowledge children receive at this school. I am not one bit upset. At 6 years old she reads better than children in the 2nd grade, she ads and subtracts 3 digit numbers with ease. The arts and science classes gifted her with critical thinking and appreciation for humanities. The other parents and children in class are amazing. The teachers are wonderful and patient. And of course, Ms. Lori on the administrative side is a gatekeeper for all things organized. I love this school. They may be demanding and request a lot of attention to homework and your child’s class preparation l, but it pays off in results that exceed expectations.

My son has been at Challenger for almost a full school year, and coming into the school year (3 year old preschool program) he recognized the letter A... that is it. He knew the ABC song but not the actual letters or letter sounds entering the school year. He is now reading! Not only can he recognize ALL letters and letter sounds, he is READING. he turned 4 two weeks ago. I find that amazing. We will continue here because he has excelled in more than just academics here. We love Challenger!!!

After experiencing the kindergarten and preschool programs here I just can't say enough about the academics, independence, and character the Challenger approach fosters in children. I love that my kindergartener has homework every night, can read chapter books, and can reason logically and articulate her opinions well. We may not be at Challenger through 8th grade (due to our family budget constraints) but it's been a phenomenal start for my girls.

Our daughter has been in the pre-school program for several months now and we are beyond impressed with this school. She is sleeping better, she is reading, and she is excelling in every other possible way. We are very please with the manners she is learning and she has taken well to all the change. She skips into school most every day and she wants to go on the weekends because she misses it. The teachers and administrators, including the headmaster, greet her by name every day. She is gaining confidence and learning social skills while excelling in math, reading, science, art, music, and more. We are so blessed to have such a great school for our child. We would highly recommend this school to anyone.

I have attended challenger now for 8 years and the curriculum is terrific. The teachers may start chatting about themselves every once in a while but they apply the concepts of their stories to the topic being taught. Math is probably the most focused on subject. It gets very complicated and a little frustrating through the years but the concepts are taught well. I would highly recommend sending your child here; for I am a student at this school.

I have to agree it is the worst school ever. Money is more important than students. Administration and staff have little care or concern for parental input. Student was subjected to intimidation, humiliation and embarrassment as an end to learning. Very detrimental and very sad outcome. Do not recommend Challenger to anyone.

Worst school ever. Admin is more interested in money than child's best interest. If you want your child to attend a school where parents are a peripheral component of their education, then Challenger is for you.

My son has attended Challenger now for two years and is currently enrolled in their full day kindergarten class. The teachers are exceptional and the environment is amazing. He is reading at an almost second grade level and does math at a first grade level. They just completed their science fair and the kindergarten project as well as presentation were amazing. The kids here are cared for and have such high esteem thanks to great support from all staff. We'll definitely continue at Challenger. They teach to a much higher standard than the public school system and the kids thrive!

My son is in his third year at Challenger. He loves it, and has made great progress. He is in the first grade, but probably reads now at a fourth or fifth grade level. He is already adding and subtracting two digit numbers, and solving math problems with understanding. Almost every school day he informs me of an interesting item he learned in science or geography or another subject, often something that I did not know myself. He has gained much confidence in his conversations and relationships with people. All his teachers have been excellent, in my opinion. The administrative staff at Challenger, from the headmaster down to the custodian, have been nothing but professional and competent, and always friendly and open to parents and students. The school is well organized with a calm and safe environment. It has my highest recommendation.

This school treated my son like an animal. He ended up getting very upset one day (4 yr old, he had a tantrum over a toy) and they did nothing to protect his safety. He nearly sustained a concussion when he fell to the floor in tears. Totally untrained in early childhood development. We will never step foot in this school again.
