its a pretty okay school but mildly inaccessible due to the placement of elevators.

The majority of teachers I encountered at this school should not have been around students. (There were a few notable exceptions, most of whom since left.) I graduated several years ago, but it is concerning that at least one of the most egregiously unprofessional faculty members is still teaching at this school. Another is now one of its administrators.Shockingly, many teachers often chose to respond to students' anxiety with mockery, needless scolding, and ostracism. The fact that I remember such cases more than ten years post graduation should indicate how hurtful these choices can be to impressionable, maturing kids. Here are a few examples (faculty names omitted):1. Mocking and laughing at a student for the length of his shirt2. Chiding and mocking a student for waiting in a hallway3. Rolling eyes and ignoring a student for asking a question in class4. Throwing a marker across the room because of a student clicked a pen5. Scolding a student in front of the class for how he chooses to write his notes6. Telling a student "I don't think you'll be able to do as well on this exam as the person before you" for no reason at all.7. Storming out of a room in frustration at students' confusion (I saw this happen 3 times).Public schools being as they are, this may be par for the course. Hopefully newer members of faculty are more emotionally and professionally competent than some of their predecessors. Even so, I'd recommend entertaining serious second thoughts before attending. If you decide to attend MFHS, my advice is to speak up when something doesn't feel right. I wish I had.

Counselors are not helpful. Administration and counselors overreact on some “concerns.” Administration is not transparent with students / parents. Lots of the teachers don’t do their jobs.

If I had it to do over again , I would NEVER send my children to the M.F school District . The staff just passes kids along to the next level , it starts in the middle school and continues on into the High School . If your cheild has anysort of emotional/ behavioral problem they ( the staff) paint a pretty picture of they are going to help but ultimately just keep moving the child along until he/she is no longer the staffs problem ..... SO DISAPPOINTED in this system ...

I had a great experience going to school here. I had lots of extracurricular opportunities. I was able to take advanced, rigorous courses. The counselors were a big help when it came time to apply for college. The community support of the school through scholarships is amazing. The only thing I wish is that there was more diversity. I didn't interact with many people that weren't fairly similar to myself, and I think that is a detriment to any high school student.

This school is the worst school ever. It has a poor bullying system. My child was bullied and the school didn't do anything about it. The teachers are bad. The principle is bad. Everything is horrible.
