This is an amazing school that feels like a family. The teachers truly care about their students, ESE and 504 services are provided well. The principal is reasonable and easy to access and helps with any concerns.

I have a 5th grade daughter in MES who started attending in the first grade. I graduated from the school many years ago when it was K-12. One of the most important factors making this a great school is that it is very integrated into the town of Melrose. The community keeps a close eye on our school and is very protective of it. About a year ago, there was an attempt by the school board to close it for up to 10 years in order to build a new facility. The town responded vigorously and stopped the attempt. Our daughter has had a very positive experience at MES and loves to be at school. And, by the way, she is a minority student, so don’t pay attention to the so-called “equity” rating. If the parents aren’t doing their job, then the teachers have an almost impossible task. This is a top school!!!

I would rate Melrose Elementary with a 5 star rating. All considering the covid 19 situation we all have to face, Melrose as Met these Challenges With accuracy and persistence to keep our student Safe. We as Parents are EXTREMELY Happy with the out come.

Melrose Elementary School is An Awesome school. My family and I have went to melrose since we were kids and we loved it it was a great school then and still to this day is. My son comes home from school and always tells me what a fun day he had and all the stuff he has learned. Melrose Elementary is a school i would encourage all parents look into sending there children too. I Love this school.

My grandson Loves this school!! He was so sad when school was over for the summer. Happy to say he is returning to Melrose and going into the 3rd Grade. Today is the first day of school and he kept saying " I can't wait grandma."
