If I could give this school a 100 out of 5, I would! This is one of the best schools I have ever been too. The teachers are amazing (shout-out to Mrs. Beck), the school is a fun place to learn, and it is a very friendly community to start off a child’s educational experience. I would completely recommend this school!

I have been a longleaf parent for many years and without a doubt it just keeps getting better and better. Exceptional staff and over all excellent school!

Bullying, Cursing, and Inappropriate topics have become rampant here. It is so sad because our children have been honor roll students here since 2014. It used to be an amazing school that I was proud for my children to attend, but not any more. Unfortunately, Longleaf has declined DRAMATICALLY over the past 3 years! Their constant change in administration (including several new principals and vice principals) lead to low teacher moral and it greatly affected their motivation to teach or to even care about the well-being of the children. Teachers should never be cursing in front of or at elementary aged children, but many at this school do so without being reprimanded. There has also been a severe decline in both safety and cleanliness. There was a HUGE problem with rats/mice at the school to the point that the news even did a story on it. (Feel free to look it up) Our children couldn't bring snacks in their lunch box for fear that the mice would get in when they went out for recess, and there were many mornings that the students would arrive and there would be mouse droppings on their desks and throughout the classroom. When I would speak to the school about it, their nonchalant attitude about the situation was unnerving. The ants were horrible there as well, and sometimes our kids would have ants in their backpacks when they got home. The cleaning staff here is almost non-existent, so the bathrooms and classrooms only get cleaned periodically. I started sending wipes for our kids to clean their desks, the lunch tables, and the bathrooms before using them each day. The worst part of Longleaf is the bullying. Our old principal from 4 years ago would never have tolerated it, but now it is prevalent. Kids are being bullied for clothing, physical appearance, and even their religion! (My friends daughter had to stop wearing her crucifix necklace to school because the atheist children said religion wasn't allowed, and the teacher did nothing to stop it. The girl told her Mom it wasn't worth getting beat up over). Kids are also discussing very adult topics as early as the 2nd grade, and nothing is being done to stop it. Our child came home asking about words that they didn't understand (nor should they), and I was completely shocked at what was apparently being discussed at recess while the teachers were not supervising the kids. This has gotten progressively worse over the last few years. I am sorry to say that I would no longer recommend this school.

Our children have been attending Longleaf for a combined 8 years! We have yet to be disappointed by any teachers, the curriculum, and leadership at this school!

As a military family we move often. Our children have attended various grades at Longleaf for the past 3 years. Our experience has been WONDERFUL. Teachers are caring, staff is helpful and friendly. The children are given various club and extra-curricular opportunities. Parent involvement is very welcome and high and my children have thrived academically. They also have a gifted program that has been great. It FEELS like a family. LOVE it - don't want to leave it.

This is the best school ever. At first i didnt want to move from suntree to longleaf but now i got my grades up and learned alot more skills than in suntree. Suntree is an outside school so if u r there before the bell u have to wait outside even if its cold or raining but here at longleaf it is a closed school where is warm.longleaf also helps those with disabilities and they dont really treat them differently. I am so glad i moved to longleaf otherwise i probably wouldve never got into westshore

This is the most amazing school ever! My daughter attended Longleaf for three years before our recent move to another state. The teachers are wonderful and dedicated, and the administration staff are friendly and very helpful. They get to know all of the students and the parents. Not only that, they do what they can to support the community and offer many opportunities for parents to be involved in their childs education. I was very sad to leave this school behind. I one hundred and ten percent recommend this school to parents looking for a school that has their child's best interests at heart!

Great school! My son really enjoys being here. Thanks to the teachers and parents. Do not hesitate to bring your child here.
