My son has gone through elementary, middle school and started high school, my main problem with especially 8th grade and ninth grade is that a couple of teacher are emailing me about 2-3 times a week talking about upcoming assignments, his grades, etc and it’s got to a point where I had to block said teacher s. This is a problem with me because they refuse to talk to my son directly, and I understand independence but I don’t need to know the things that I am getting emailed.

Both of my kids have gone through all RTMSD schools from kindergarten on (Media, SLMS, and PHS). They have thrived with excellent teachers and staff, challenging classes, phenomenal extracurricular activities especially for theater, and a good group of kids for friends. It’s a close knit community with very involved parents and families. One of my kids went to a top college and the other is about to graduate and go to another. The new superintendent and high school principal are top notch, and value all children in the district.

My child was bullied relentlessly at this school. The staff ignored it. The anti-bullying posters and assemblies they have are laughable, as the staff does not care about the safety of the students. If your child is not "popular", then the principal and guidance counselor don't care. They protect them and the underdog takes the blame. My child was assaulted and the principal turned it around and blamed the victim. Eventually my child went to online school. When I withdrew my child, not one person on the staff asked why. They didn't care because it was easier to let the student go than deal with the bullying situation. If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible experience.

My friend and I got bullied here and they didn’t do a thing about it. We reported it to the guidance counselor and even the vice principal and they did nothing. I told another student about it and they told me that the staff would not doing anything unless it got physical. Also numerous things happened the one year i was there: a girl flushed her hoodie down the toilet in October, a group of girls stole hundreds of dollars and expensive items, a bullet was found in the bathroom, a girl stabbed a knife into the soap dispenser, bullying, horrible communication, and more.

We could not be more pleased with our experience with Penncrest and Rose Tree Media School District. Penncrest is a great school! Not too large to feel a great sense of community but not too small to have access to so many great sports, interests and clubs. Their teachers truly care about the students both academically and on a personal level too.

I do not recommend any school in the Rose Tree Media SD, particularly for special education students.

Penncrest is a great school but is mostly based on academics and college which isn't a bad thing it just a lot of pressure on a student. And the music teachers are definitely great (except for a certain band teacher) but the choir teachers position was cut this year and she moved to the middle school. Although I love Penncrest it is all about academics and doesn't even consider what we actually want to do after High school I really don't know how knowing how to graph a equation is going to help me with my acting but who knows right.

I am a graduate of Penncrest High School. This school is focused on test scores and grades, but it does offer a range of valuable extracurricular activities. The AP programs are excellent and when I attendend the arts program was beyond compare. However, for a troubled, or unmotivated, student, one can easily fall to the wayside. The guidence department was focused on college bound, graduating students, not fostering those who may need extra attention to make it through each year of high school. These conditions may have changed since I was a student.

Excellent academics but lacks the values and respect found in a Catholic school. Special education are okay - thus the only reason my child attend there versus the local Catholic high school. Great for the average or above-average learner who does not value a religious education. Even with a strong religious upbringing and continued religious teachings at home, there is a difference in my child's religious values vs. my children who attend Catholic school. I also see the difference with the friends and parents. Many do not even know the parents or care when they drop them at your home. No community. But great academically/
