    This was a struggling community even when I attended Fishburn in the 1940's. Many years we only could attend half day sessions. But the attitude was positive, parents were engaged, and the teachers -- many of whom we all remember with great fondness -- were reasonably committed to the students. A lot of inspiring success stories came out of Fishburn Avenue. I count mine among them.

    Terrible school with violent children. The principal lets students beat up each other without consequences. My child was beat up several times by a violent boy
