Love this school!! Teachers and administrators are very friendly and easy to communicate with. We have had kids going here since 2018 with 4 growing girls and never any issues. I have got to know several teachers personally now and great family feel.

The students seem happy and the teachers do too. It is a close and caring school.

I wouldn't be able to rate them, because the rate level does not go into the negative, they don't deserve even a 1 in my opinion.

Our daughter attends this school and so far everything I have seen and checked out for myself has been well above my expectations. her teacher is amazing and really cares about her students. I have not had any issues since enrolling my daughter in this school.

Our son attended Silverdale Elementary for kindergarten and 1st grade and that was all we could tolerate. He was bullied on the bus by an older child--witnessed by the bus driver. This child bulliied several children, and when the assistant principal was informed the school did nothing but take my child into the office with the bully and have them talk it out. Absurd. My son was afraid of this older child. The bullying did not stop. We transferred our son to Sand Ridge Elementary. The schools are night and day different. The principal and leadership at Sand Ridge are amazingly wonderful. Silverdale needs to get the bullying issue under control. Offenders should not be tolerated. Riding the bus should be a privilege not a right.

Silverdale is a school with a very diverse student population and I have witnessed the faculty and staff working extremely hard to support student learning. It is unfortunate that certain individuals use websites like this to make negative comments. The school has a leadership theme and encourages the students to promote these habits among themselves and others. As a parent volunteer, I have seen how hard the teachers work for their students. The kids are expected to behave themselves and respect adults as well as other students. These are not only school skills but these are life skills. There are many wonderful things happening at Silverdale and as a parent who is involved in my child's learning I see them occuring. Please before you make any judgements on a school go and take a look for yourself. If you visit Silverdale you will be highly impressed.

Being a military family, we have experienced many different schools due to being relocated. I have 2 of my children in this school and this by far is the worst school that I have had my children go to and is to the point that I am going to be homeschooling them for the remainder of this school year. The communication between staff at this school is non existent with parents including the principal. The bullying is a major concern as well. The location and surrounding areas of the school is not something that makes me feel comfortable having my children being around.

This school is the worst I have ever had my children in due to the principal. I have had students in the school for 3 years and my kids don't even know who the principal is. She rarely shows up for assemblies, only when she wants to promote the book fair or other fundraiser where she will say to all the military families "spend spend spend, spend all your hard earned money" instead of saying please help our school by purchasing at the fair. The last leadership night she left as soon as she made her appearance on stage to promote the book fair. The parents complain to each other and no one can ever seem to pin her down to talk to her, she is too busy. Its not like I have issues with my kids, I have principal list kids and I'm sure she still has no idea who they are. Besides having a principal who does the bare minimum (this thought has been shared with me by many teachers as well), she is never available. The few teachers we have had have been good though, my kids are doing well. For having a "leadership" based school, this principal does not display any of the habits. Maybe one day before my kids leave the school she will acknowledge them or me, but I doubt it.

This has got to be the worst school in Onslow county, especially for special needs chilldren. It had gotten to point to whereas the principle to me that the school didn't have the same "luxuries" to service children with special needs such as ADHD/ADD as the schools on base. I will be going to the School Board about this school and have my children transferred to a better school.

After having my children attend schools all over the United States I can say that this is the worst experience that we have had. Bullying was tacitly tolerated--the offenders were 'talked' to for repeat violations. Onslow county schools rules and regulations concerning bullying were not adhered to and it came to a point where my child said he would rather kill himself than go back to that school. Enough said.
