There are strengths and weaknesses at all schools, and usually only complainers submit to these websites. There are some excellent teachers, and some that are not. Our administration seems to be doing a wonderful job and I'm excited about the upcoming years!

This school district is a JOKE! I've been to SEVERAL schools, all different, and NONE are as horrible as this one. I will soon have 3 children that will attend this school and the first 2 have had trouble since they started! Teachers are NOT properly trained to handle the wide variety of child disabilities here and they dismiss these children without a second glance! My middle child was told just THREE WEEKS into the school year that he was NOT going to pass because he didnt know anything! My oldest has been left behind by all his teachers and the principal is a joke as well. We are promised things to help this child succeed and then the minute we leave the campus all is forgotten and they go about things the way THEY want to. MY child is suffering because of the undertrained and careless attitude of the teachers and staff at Maud ISD!

Maud ISD is a joke. I know... I just rmeoved all of my children. The only thing that school teaches are the TAKS tests. During the time that they aren't having a taks test they are doing practice taks test. It is very stressful for the children. Most of the older children there are very much behind to the point that last year they had to rearrange the sech. to make room for tutoring at lunch. This year they added 2 tutoring periods because most of the students were going to need summer school. Most of the good teachers are gone. Their contracts were not renewed because the new coaches coming in had teaching wives that needed a job. There are a few good teachers in the elementary, but.. not many.
