I am a graduate of a larger district, and really thought that sending my children to a smaller school would be beneficial, however, this school is incredibly clicky. Even the parents. My kids have been in the district for 11 years and we are still left out of the loop. If you don't know people, forget about being included in sports information. I appreciate the education portion, more one on one time and smaller classrooms, but man the social aspect is a nightmare. My daughter is a changed person because of the bullying she has received from her peers. I have spoke with principals/ guidance counselors, teachers, and it never gets better. The bullying report on the schools website always reads ZERO infractions. We live in the district, and are luckily only a few short years out from everyone being finished. We don't have to worry about physical fighting here, which is great, but the cyber bullying and taunting, teasing is constant, and the teachers definitely prefer the "popular" kids.

Administration seems to take the safety of students lightly. My son was assaulted and the school did very little to resolve the situation, in fact, they did not even call his mother or I to inform us he had been assaulted. After complaining to the administration about the assault and their lack of interest in resolving the situation, my children have faced adversity within the district from administrators. I have to question whether the top administrators are qualified or competent enough to move the school in the right direction.

I graduated from Tuslaw High School in 2010. I was able to attend post secondary classes and get a whole year of college done while in High School. Tuslaw was a great school that was a great preparation for college. Extracurriculars were also wonderful, great coaches!
