I graduated from MCS. I liked going there. The sports program is really great. I also enjoyed playing in the band. I felt very prepared for college and was able to test out of some college classes.

I went to this school for two years back in the early 2000s. I legitimately think I got dumber in the time I was there. I was considered gifted in 5th grade. I transferred here for 6th and 7th. When I transferred back to public school I was so far behind that I was failing most of my classes. My sixth grade teacher was so incompetent that parents and students demanded she be fired before the year ended. There was an obscene amount of bias from students and teachers alike. Very little was ever done when anyone reported bullying either. In one instance I was reprimanded for defending myself from a bully three times my size. The science classes were dated and the only teacher that gave me the feeling they cared was the art teacher. I wouldn't send my kids here if it was the last school on earth.

I attended MCS from 7th-12th grades (Class of 1981). I attended Massillon City Schools from K-6th. At the beginning of 9th grade I thought I wanted to go back to public school. I did for about a week! Then I asked my parents if I could go back to MCS! There was such a difference in EVERYTHING about MCS vs. public education. The coursework prepared me for life. Teachers and administrators cared about students - especially spiritually. The school had a great basketball program and we had soccer and baseball, too. If I lived in Ohio I would send my kids there now. Great experience and wonderful school!

I was a teacher there for over 20 yrs and both my sons graduated from there. Overall I was very pleased with the education that they received and they both did well at Cedarville University and now both have full-time jobs at churches. They both also benefited from drama,speech and music activities as well as playing basketball and soccer. They received an excellent foundation in English which has aided them in writing...my older son has even published several things. One of my sons has gone on to get his Master's degree and the other one has started working on his.

I love going to MCS! I have made great friends and love my teachers. I am learning things that my public school friends haven't even heard of yet.
