In my opinion the teachers are doing an excellent job. It is hard and a lot of work but teachers are fair and care for your children. However I do not like the community at all. In all those years I have never felt welcome by other families. There is this "Elite" that sticks together and completely ignores anyone else. IC offers gatherings for fundraiser purposes but when you show up nobody even looks at you. I feel more welcome at my gym then at my children's school! The retirement of the principal was long overdue, same goes for some of the teachers (art and music is a very sad subject at this school!) If you are looking for excellent education for your children (but not in music or art) this is the right school - if you are trying to be a member of the community you might be lucky and meet the right person but I wouldn't count on it! Also keep in mind the class sizes are not always small. Sometimes they cramp up to 24 children in one class but then with two teachers.

Wonderful school! My children are receiving an excellent education (we transferred from the public school system), and are beyond thrilled. this school is way above average in every way and has been a true blessing for my children !

I honestly am shocked at the good reviews of this school people have posted here.The principal is a lousy, aloof leader with poor people skills. It is probably a blessing she finally retired. The principal would rather do things the way she knows how and has always done them instead of making changes that may result in positive outcomes. The teachers are disengaged and quite possibly the worst set of teachers I have encountered as a parent. The parents are even disengaged here. Look elsewhere for a good Catholic education.

I have 2 children thru this school, reading the comments I was astonished with the negative ones, as my experience has been all terrific. with my children that are very different in learning styles the teachers have been extremely professional and supportive, have given very close attention when needed, and so far the one that moved out is doing outstanding in high school. I really appreciate the work done by all the staff, at this school. can't say enough good things about it.

Wonderful school! My mind is boggled by the negative reviews. the teaches are wonderful, my child id happy and getting an excellent education. Far better than she was receiving at the public school!

Would not recommend this school at all. The principal is detached from the school, teachers, parents and most importantly the children.

Would not recommend this school at all. Unless, you don't mind your child being humiliated and diciplined inappropriately. I understand the parochial,way but humiliation is unacceptable and intolerable.

I have had now three children go through IC over the past 15 years. I have found the staff to be firm but very caring. All of my children have learned at different rates and the teachers do not judge them on the way their siblings have performed. The children come out of IC well equiped to face the high school curriculims.
