I am deeply disappointed in the unprofessional conduct exhibited by this school. My nephew was wrongfully accused of stealing by the police officers present on campus. He was simply trying to assist another student who had left her bag in the classroom. Unfortunately, she did not hear him calling out to her, so he decided to leave the bag where it was.Despite his good intentions, the officers threatened him with charges of theft. This situation is completely unjust; my nephew was not stealing—he was trying to help someone in need. To make matters worse, the school imposed in-school suspension on him for what was meant to be a good deed. I cannot recommend this school based on this experience.

I will not recommend this school to anyone, poor communication between teachers and parents. The school is failing the students. CITA should be independent from Osborne High School

I went to Osborne from 2004-2006 and I really liked it. The teachers were really kind and supportive, and I always felt like I could go to any of them or the counselors for advice or help. The hardest part about going to Osborne was dealing with the rumors, myths, and reputation it had in the past. Other high schools in the area look down on Osborne, but that only adds to its charm. Osborne is a school for the underdogs, the kids who are rough around the edges, and we liked it that way.

Did you notice that all the bad reviews for this school are from like--2 years ago? There's a reason for that. The school used to be not so great. I had two children that went to Osborne. One graduated last year and one who graduated three years ago. Admittedly, the school when my older son graduated, the school experience wasn't great. It wasn't bad really, just not extraordinary. There were communication issues between leadership at the school and the teachers. That subsequently affected the students. That being said, my youngest had a great experience from about sophomore year on. She loved her teachers and there seemed to be a shift in attitude within the school. Students, parents, and teachers are all on the same page. They love Osborne and so do we. Don't let a few crabby old reviews deter you from this great school.

As a current student at Osborne, I am not pleased about the things I hear about my school. People think that bad things will happen at this school when in reality the school is actually pretty quiet. The staff and the student body are the nicest people that I have met in my life. The staff treats everyone that walks through the front doors with respect. Sure, there may be students that are rowdy, but all schools have students like that. The students at Osborne are great people with big aspirations. I have to admit that before I started high school, I had my doubts about Osborne. But, as I look back at the past 3 years I've spent at this school, I realize that not only have I met good people and have made great lifelong friends, I have gained one of the best educations I have ever gotten.

Extremely poor communication or none at all from the principal, class administrators and some teacher. Reports of physical threats to other students go unaddressed. After the student & parents report it numerous time. The students gets assaulted by the culprit and without investigating expells the victim. Osborne high is a high school ran by the students. You will be told policies are in place and certain behavior won't be tolerated, well its a facade. Students that have been expelled or dropped out, freely roam and appear on campus at their leisure. This review comes by experience. I have numerous emails sent to this high school principal & administrators without a reply or a return phone call. Very unfortunate.

I love teaching at Osborne High School. It is truly a melting pot of cultural diversity. A place where students can get to know others from many different racial and ethnic backgrounds. I encourage students to make friends with someone different from themselves and learn about other people and cultures. Everyday is a learning experience and I love the languages, food and hearing about their culture. It enriches us all to live, work and play together with people who are different from ourselves.

I have officially started my second year at Osborne... And yes, this school is not perfect, it has it's rough edges. However, where is a perfect high school? I bet no one can name a school without the occurrence of a teen pregnancy, a gang, fights, or anything that has deemed Osborne as a "bad" school. Can you? I didn't think so. The entire atmosphere of Osborne has been completely changed within in the past decade or so, but so many people are simply to stubborn to admit their ignorance to the fact that the students that were here then, are long gone. Osborne has been drastically improving scores in every area of testing, and students are really motivated to learn, because we want to prove the people who have stereotyped us into "nobody's" and "soon to be drug dealers" because of where we live, or our income. We want to prove these assumptions wrong, so it's something that we have and need to take an advantage of because these students with all the money in "better" schools like Allatoona, Campbell, McEachern, or Sprayberry have. The teachers actually care about their students, not about their grades only in that class, but in all our classes, and what's going on in our lives.

I loved my school. I served as the Student Government President and was interactive with the majority of the student body. The interaction between cultures was seamless! There weren't large 'click-ish' student groups. I was enrolled in AP courses in which I was held to the highest standard. I was also part of the career tech. program which is designed to prepare you for any type of career field from auto mechanics and military to culinary and construction. The students however could use a bit of a pick-me-up; I would say is due to the bad wrap the school receives.
