Gethsemane Lutheran is a fantastic school. Class sizes are small allowing for individualized learning. The teachers are caring to each and every student and skilled at what they teach. The school is a family with a community feel, people look after one another. Gethsemane offers many extra curriculum such as band, music, sports, robotics, steam, art, PE, chapel, student council,... They have many fun family events. Faith development is incorporated into the everyday learning. The school is a safe environment for students to learn. Highly recommend you take a tour and learn more.

Both of my daughters attended school at Gethsemane from Preschool through 8th grade. I cannot express how happy our family is that we happened upon Gethsemane through a simple Google search. It was meant to be as we are now full fledged members of the Gethsemane Church and School community. I am speaking as a public school teacher that there is a big difference in what you get here. Academic excellence, academic rigor that includes nightly homework and projects and student expectations. They are old school in that they value handwriting, phy Ed everyday, choir and band, chapel once a week, students wear uniforms, respect and manners and well behaved students are cultivated there through mutual love and respect. Class sizes are small so students get attention and their education is tailored to their abilities - high or low. The staff is caring, knowledgeable and teach to the whole student as a valued child of God. Students leave the 8th grade prepared and perform above others as they enter high school and they come with a solid foundation in which to grow into even more exceptional adults. I cannot say enough about why you should check out this school. It is a diamond in the rough and well worth the money you spend towards your child’s education. You get what you pay for and your kids are worth it!

Gethsemane is more than just a school. It is a community that rallies around families to help raise each student to be the best person they can be both academically and spiritually.

Both of my children graduated from Gethsemane. It is a fantastic school filled with loving educators who teach to the individual. It is truly a community where students learn academic lessons along with serving the community. Physical education is taught 4 times a week and music and art specialists are on site. In middle school, students experience outdoor education three years in a row. In 8th grade, the graduates take a train for a week long trip to Chicago. It truly is a wonderful place and my children have made life long friends and adore every teacher they had!

My two sons both attended or are attending pre-k at Gethsemane. Our family loves the program. My older son needed special ed services so is in a public school for kindergarten. I struggled with that decision because this is such an amazing school The only drawback is the almost total lack of cultural diversity in the student body. I want my kids growing up surrounded by diversity so they accept it as natural and are comfortable with others who don't match them exactly. This is tricky to accomplish at Gethsemane unless you go outside the school for the extracarricular activities.
