Teachers have all seemed great and enjoy what they do. There are a good amount of family activities throughout the year to get parents engaged.

My kid struggled mightily at Carver. Classroom staff were lovely people, but lacked training in how to teach kids literacy skills. My kid's reading scores jumped 40 percentile points in the year after she left.School staff lacked understanding of special education laws, and inappropriately denied a written request for an IEP evaluation, stating that my kid "wouldn't qualify." (She most certainly did qualify, and our next school looked at the same data and was very surprised that she did not already have an IEP). One first year teacher went above and beyond trying to address bullying, but other school staff would only intervene if bullying was physical.
