This school exceeds my expectations and I'd recommend it!

I went to this school and graduated in 2001. At that time the teachers were great. There was the chaos with schools today and kids felt safer! But if kids aren’t encouraged and pushed to succeed, they usually don’t! This school offered me a lot!! The teacher were knowledgeable and pushed me to be my best. I loved most my classes and after I graduated went on to nursing school. I am now a well respected nurse and have a great school and work ethic!

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews, I think Lower Lake High School has the best teachers there that are willing to help, parents who are writing these reviews do not see what happens there everyday. Teachers can only do so much to help everyone but the problem are the students who do not realize how important education is and my opinion is it's the parent's fault. Yes we live in a rural community without a whole lot of opportunities but in reality its YOU who decides if you're going to use what is there. Overall awesome school from a student's perspective

Have a student enrolled and one that just graduated. There are great teachers in the school but they are off set by teachers that are only there to collect their paychecks. Things like sitting at a desk and eating during an entire period on a regular basis, showing movies not connected to curriculum, letting students text during class when cell phones are not to be on during class time. etc.. Just poor judgement and lack of care about the students getting an education! Teachers who would rather be one of the crowd than the instructor, they should find another way to feel wanted, not "friending" students on Facebook and wasting educational time! There should also be instruction AFTER the State testing period! There has been a 3-4 week period where no instruction takes place after the State testing period is over!

I feel that some of the the teachers could be a little more motivated and helpful to the students but there there are some great teachers as well.

Some of the teachers were not helpful to the students, the staff were not friendly toward students, and classes usually couldn't be kept quiet and manageable so that students could concentrate. The over-all atmosphere of the campus from students, to staff, to teachers, was uncomfortable and aggressive.

People should check out Lower Lake High School today. It has a highly motivated and hard working staff. It has great music, drama and vocational programs and a beautiful campus including a state of the art gymnasium that is the envy of the county. Students from LLHS have attended Johns Hopkins, Yale, Princeton, Carnegie Melon, Berkeley, Davis, Santa Cruz and other great universities.
