This is a school in a nice area and would have lots of potential. But, MANY updates need to be made to the buildings, grounds, classrooms and on. The church is Superb! Father Larry and staff are AMAZING. The school itself needs a FULLY new vision, some new staff and a new leader. While I appreciate history and long time staff, it doesn't seem to be working here anymore. Communication needs ramped up BIGTIME.

We have been very happy during our years at St. Columban. The focus on Faith Family Future are clear. We know our children are developing their faith in a loving family-focused environment with strong academics. The foundation built at St. Columban has given our oldest the tools he needs for successful high school years. I anticipate the same for my current students after graduation from StC. We are thankful for our experience here.

Spoken from a minority student that went here for 8 full years, the social aspect was extremely difficult in so many ways that I cannot easily describe. I didn’t know what racism was until at age 6 was when I had to experience it, which followed several years in isolated incidences. But please if you think your child cannot handle being a racial minority, I would refer to send your child to loveland public school instead. Even if your child is not a minority, I truly advise you if you still wish to send your child here; from the bottom of my heart, please expose your children to some sort of diversity or educate them on the world at home at the very least. Kids, especially younger kids, stared at me because I’m pretty sure I was the first person of color they’ve ever seen in person. Normalizing diversity at that age instead of avoiding it can immensely enhance your young child of being a well-rounded, well-respected individual in their future. Sincerely, A bobcat grad

Not so great to be honest. I do not want to be unrepresented in this review or have the school delete this comment please. But I just felt like it’s easier to not send your kids here if they do not align with the political and racial majority. Other than that, great school to raise a new family.

This school a wonderful place to send your children. My children had started off in public school and the difference is undeniable. My children are now in a much better learning environment where teachers act like role models and not their friends. St. Columban has proven they care about educating my children to each child's full potential. I can't say enough positive things about this school come see for yourself if you are considering a school change.

Change of administration is a must with a decrease in nepotism among the staff. There is a lot of potential at this school, but until the principal moves on you should not expect this school to progress toward that potential.

Overall, poor administration and leadership at the school. Enrichment, Technology and STEAM offerings need to be improved greatly, especially at younger ages. Favoritism runs rampant in all grades.

Saint Columban is a great school! There are definitely areas that need improvement - some of the teaching staff - some of the communication - some building upgrades - more structure - more events to bring kids and families together - The Church is AMAZING. Father Larry is a TRUE BLESSING, as are Terri K and Mary B. The community and parents have a strong bond as well!

Kids will receive a great education, wonderful experiences and opportunities, and build friendships that will last a lifetime at St. Columban. The staff/administration is amazing, supportive and always looking out for our children!

St. Columban has done a WONDERFUL job educating my children thus far, and I look forward to seeing my children grow through the rest of their elementary school education. I believe St. Colubman is providing them with a great Catholic education with a focus on excellence rather than proficiency. The school and parish community have become family for us.

Love this school. With their strong standardized test scores, small student to teacher ratios, and faith based mission, they are doing an excellent job.

A change if administration would greatly benefit students.

We have been very happy with our choice to send our children to St. Columban School. Students at St. Columban continually rank in the highest percentiles nationally in Math and Reading. We love that our children attend school together. They are learning to live their faith through community projects they are a part of. Our family quickly felt a part of this fun, and faith filled community.

Poor. It’s sad- this was once a fantastic school, but is has gone way downhill. It isn’t surprising that enrollment has dropped so far so quickly.

Our children have been at St. Columban for 3 years and really feel we've become part of a family. The parish pastor is the embodiment of a Good Shephard and amazingly supportive of the outstanding school staff. The children love him. School staff and teachers are caring and creative to meet the needs of each child. Safety is a priority. The school continues to grow and improve the facility each year. A National Blue Ribbon School. We love the parish and the school, a strong academic and spiritual community.
