This school understand the importance of education to the kids that go here, and make it a top priority. I could not be more thankful for West End School and the work they do.

The head of school once said, there are no boys at West End School, only young men. The leadership the school has makes me feel great about what the students are learning and doing. I'm proud to share the school to anyone who will listen.

The school is nice the discipline is well but the group consequences are coming in so often and it forces other students to suffer even if they don't know whats going on

During the mandatory school shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the school does not offer a way for the students to continue their education. Parents are told they are on their own. This shows no concern for the low income families that wanted to make a difference in their children's lives. Why can't this school see if they can partner with Jefferson County School system during this horrible time. Perhaps they can ask for community assistance in their student's education. I was horrified when I learned the "parents are on their own". Some of the parents are not working due to the stay at home mandate, some were laid off some was involuntarily terminated. Something needs to be done to help these "at risk" students. Thank you, Doris Thompson 4008 Wooded Way, Louisville Ky.

I think that this school has amazing potential. But as long as the current leadership is in charge, and their ideas are the only ones that are held with merit, the school will always fall short of that potential.

The school struggles due to the lack of executive leadership and future planning. The mission fails do to poor communication and a misunderstanding of the population.
