My child had Mrs. Williams this year for first grade. She was an amazing teacher. My son can read anything now and he likes to read. I wish Mrs. Williams was teaching second grade so we could have her next year.

Miss. Alford is a new teacher to Cane run this year and she is AMAZING! My daughter was home schooled for 1st grade after a really bad experience at Shacklette for Kindergarten. Because of Cane run's test scores I requested 2 times for my daughter not to attend Cane Run and was denied both times. I have to say I am VERY pleased and so is she, she LOVES going to school everyday! Miss Alford is a HUGE blessing for us and we couldn't be happier with her. As far as diversity goes there is not much of that at Cane run and that is a shame. After this year we will be moving out of JCPS school district, I am so very tired of being bullied by them and feel we deserve a say in our children's education! By the way I do think the principal is VERY involved and tries very hard to improve the school :)

I have had 3 children at cane run. One just started at Farnsely Middle. One is in 1 and another in 4th. All three of my kids have learned more there than some kids their age group. They are all advid readers and this school promotes it greatly. I have one in advanced classes. And one that needed a little help along the way with him having aspergers. They work with the kids. There has only been one teacher last year in fact, that i ever had any trouble with their teaching and their actions. Other than that we have been there for the past 4 years and I am glad they are there. They are learning and achieving more than some other kids in that school and at other surrounding schools. It has a great magnet program and teaches the children how to be hands on and be better people for the future with these teaching. I will be there for the next 3 years. And I will tell you that we have grown attached to some of the staff, and it is really nice when they know you just by your face in person, or name over the phone. Make me feel good about who I am leaving my children with all day long.
