No communication with parents. Call social services on my family in 2022-2023 year. Kept sending my son home for runny nose then they wanted to fail him for missing alot of day. Because they sent him home he missed 52 days last year. Then they had a issue with my son having ticks said I should check him before he gets on bus. And year of 2021-2022 my neighbors had similar issues as I did last year.

This school and my daughters 2nd grade teacher made my husband produce legal documentation to show he was her father before they would communicate with us...even though he has sole custody of my daughter (I don't use step daughter since I raised her from a young age). The teacher NEVER responded to any of our emails, even after we cleared up that his X-Wife purposely didn't inform the school we existed! For my daughter's sake we calmly tried to remediate the problem. Despite many request for information from the school and teacher we were almost clueless about her progress. Now that she is back with us, to stay this time, we have found out that she is only proficient at a 1st grade level. She is suppose to be going into the 3rd grade!! Coming from an elementary substitute, there is no way that the teacher didn't smudge the grading. My daughter had no clue how to write a letter or when to use question marks. She knew absolutely nothing a second grader should know about science and social studies. She cried when playing a simple math game with her peers because she couldn't add numbers like 2+3. She doesn't know what greater and less than symbols are or what the terms borrow and carry mean. This is just a list of a few things she is struggling with, amongst many! I know teachers can be put in a precarious predicament when they don't have the resources they need but judging by the way we were ignored there are deeper issues at hand with this school!

Royal is the best.....my Grandson is very happy there and his teachers are very caring, concerned and in touch with his Dad.

I love this school. The teachers care about the students and are always professional. The principals seem to take complaints seriously. I just wish there was more of an "online" presence for detailed events of the school and such.

This has been the worst school I've seen yet! They don't let you know what's going on with your own child. This is for the principal and vice principal!

This is my daughter's 3rd year at Royal. This year their was a large turnover of teachers, but the changes were handled with grace. My daughter's teacher is new and is just amazing. My daughter is challenged and taught well in both academics AND in the emotional IQ area. She is a better, more thoughtful and respectful person. My husband and I LOVE this school and so does my child. She comes home happy every day. She's in 2nd grade and doing some very impressive work.

Our son started here in his first grade year after attending another school for his kindergarten year. We have been at Royal now for three years now. Other than some minor issues with the organization and coordination of school events, I am very happy with Royal. Our son is challenged in the classroom, as well as through programs like AIG, and the teachers have all comminicated well and assisted by guiding us to help him be the best student he can be. We definitely plan to be Royal Knights until he moves on to middle school.

I have a daughter in Royal. She is almost done with her K year. She loves her teacher and doesn't want to go to a different class next year. The PTO has done fun things as well. We are very happy.

The principal is very erratic. I have dealt with and watched her at school events and have observed her during school hours. She appears to be almost bipolar. She is happy one minute and then barking up a tree the next. We are glad that our kids don't havee to go to that school anymore.
