The school is located in a safe and developed area. The schools look after and treat their students very well with care and compassion. Breakfast and Lunch are provided for students who are eligible to receive it; the eligibility to get the free breakfast and lunch for students is based on their household family income. Food is not high-end quality, but acceptable and children seem to like it. Children are encouraged to be part of after-school programs and activities such as, tutoring and sport (soccer, volleyball, and basketball). My kid always want to go to school and does well very in his class. Thanks.

Grant Elementary School is one of the best elementary schools in City of Los Angeles because teachers focus on and provide such a good attention on their students, gain, and improve their students' academic performance, grades, scores, and GPA, activities, and behaviors, in compared to other public schools, and, or some private schools in the area. Personally, I clearly see my child makes a "great" progress in his learning (math, science, reading and writing) that is because he has good learning experiences at his school with respect to positive-pleasant learning atmosphere and environment, knowledgeable, caring, and supportive teachers and the school principal. Teachers and the school principal provide such a warm and welcoming feeling for the students and their families. Also, parents are always treated with respect by the school staffs. In addition, teachers and the school principal always build up a good rapport with their students in order to get to know more about their individual students in terms of their interest, classroom learning abilities and capacity, personalities, family structure, sibling birth orders, etc., so students are able to be supported in all areas for their personal and academy developments. Also, the school has great rules, policies and regulations for preventing or eliminating bullying and misbehavior which might occur among K-6 students. For instance, teachers closely monitor their students' acts and behaviors in classroom. At last, I am very happy that my child has attended this school for 6 years and will graduate from Grant Elementary School in 2018. Thanks for all teachers, school principal, and staff for providing such a great service and a wonderful support! Love this school. I highly recommend Grant Elementary School as your first school choice in the area.

My son has attended Grant Elementary since kindergarten. He is now in the fourth grade. We just received his CST scores from third grade and he scored perfect in Language Arts and Mathematics. I give a lot of credit to the teachers who have worked so hard with their students to bring up test scores while fostering higher order thinking skills. I know that the school has made many improvements and tried to develop more community and parent involvement.
