We've been so happy here! The school has a close, community feel to it, and the setting up in Debs Park is just beautiful. The kids spend lots of time outside, including in the edible garden. The teachers and staff are so welcoming and helpful, and Principal Narvaez greets the students at the gate by name every morning. We're excited to send our youngest here, too, once he's old enough!

Great experience with staff and teachers. School embraces parent involvement and encourage it. Students learn about empathy and display care for peers. Great learning environment.

At Bushnell Way's Open House in August 2014, we were very impressed with the teaching methods/program of Mr. Ramierez/Ms Quezada's combination 5th-6th grades and especially how much they care about their students. We especially note how hard the new principal, Mrs. Terrenal, is working for the school's and Hermon Community's goals and hopes.

Bushnell Way has great teachers. Mr. Paiz, the former principal did an amazing job at communicating with the parents. He knew all children by name and greeted them almost every morning. Certain things have changed since he left, but I noticed that my child is being challenged more in academics now. Teachers really care here. The school isn't perfect but many involved parents try to give a helping hand to make it better. My girls love their school and they feel safe here.

I believe this school has a lot of potential to become a better school, parents need to get more involved. Some of the teachers need to go to school and take some children psychology classes to learn how to treat the students with respect, and not put them down. Let not forget that these children will be adults and will be ruling the country in a very near future, so we should prepare them to become good citizens, by letting them know that they are valuable, and thy can be what ever they want to be.

It is a great school. I am a High School student now that graduated from here and it still seems like the best ever.
