My sons have been at Bethany for a year now in upper grades. They both play JV basketball and do Spanish and music weekly. They've made great friends and enjoy going to school. We have loved the overnight field trips we have attended as a family and feel welcome by the teachers and parents. Academically they have always been strong in LBUSD but despite this they had to take a few months to catch up to Bethany's level. They are now back to a 3.5 and 4.0 GPA and we are very happy with the grades they are getting and the challenges. We have gotten to know many of the teachers who are very dedicated and kind. The student body at Bethany is very diverse which is important to us. We're very glad we made the decision to come to Bethany.

Looking back, for social reasons I should have put my daughter in a school with higher enrollment and really studied the demographics. Church doesn’t support issues either. No help there.

The delicate balance of spirituality and education can easily be done to the extreme on either side. Bethany manages to build up the students in both areas and prepares them for whatever challenges present themselves after their time with the Bethany family. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a rock solid foundation for their child.

Our son has been at Bethany since preschool. He graduates 8th grade in three weeks. Bethany has been an amazing school/family. Our son has flourished academically and spiritually. He has formed relationships that will last and so have we. He will be going on to a college prep high school and he is well prepared. Thank you Bethany for your years of nurturing and academic excellence! Middle school teachers you are all amazing! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

Our daughter has been attending Bethany since preschool, she is now in kindergarten. The teachers are loving, caring, patient and really fantastic at teaching! From what I can tell compared to our friends with kids in the same grades, public schools cover the same topics as Bethany except of course Jesus, but they do not cover the standard topics as thoroughly. Therefore providing the Bethany school students with an edge over other children and still fitting in an extra course, The Bible. It's definitely worth the tuition.

We are very satisfied with the quality of education and all the "extras" that my wife and I had when we were in private school. A wonderful, credentialed staff, a first-rate PE, a real computer lab, a library with a librarian, fantastic electives- music, choir, chess, science, foreign language and top-drawer Bible-rooted instruction. What a blessing for Long Beach.
