If your child has issues in Math do not send them here. The middle school is awful and all the administration does is gaslight acting like there is no issues when multiple kids are struggling. The suggestions for extra help is to watch videos. This has been going on for years now. At least 5 in my personal experience. They need to hire a qualified teacher.

My grandson is in the Second grade at St. Michael. He has been at the school since Kindergarten. I am a retired teacher with 50 years experience in the public schools. I am so pleased with the accelerated education that my grandson has received. He has experienced much success in all his subjects due to the concentrated instructions that he has received from his caring teachers. Mrs. Nold is a great principal. She really has an understanding of how to work with the students and the parents. St. Michael school is outstanding in preparing the children with their academics in each grade.

This has been the single most important and successful decision we have made for our children. They are loved, safe, and thriving. The education they received is second to none and the interwoven Catholic principles is one point. My kids (boy 12yo and girl 11 yo) are excited to go to school. For instance, my daughter is dissecting an owl pellet in science, making a diorama in social studies, and crafting for their annual service project to support a local charity today. My son enjoys the leadership and extracurricular activities like safety, Quiz Bowl, student leaders, NJHS, and altar serving.Being a private school, St. Michael has limited resources for special education but kids with needs to accommodate ADHD and dyslexia do well.

This school has outstanding value for the tuition. While other schools struggle with attrition, teacher longevity is not an issue. Children obtain a faith filled stellar education in a safe environment.

This is just my initial experience with attempting to schedule a tour and become a parishioner. I dealt strictly with the administration of the school. First, if you're not white they will not accept you. Let's just be clear on that. As you can see 90% of the students are white. Considering this is Livonia with a highly diverse population that is a concern. Second, if you're a single parent they also will not accept your children. I am a high earning single parent and spent my entire life in the Catholic community and attended only private Catholic schools. During my 47 years I've never seen the level of judgment as I have here in the Catholic environment so quickly. Even to get a tour they ask you many invasive questions, expect you to hand over your children's report cards and questioned why I wanted my child to attend and suggested that he would struggle with their curriculum without knowing a single thing about him or our family except the two items I mentioned above. Truth be told my son wasn't challenged at his current school and has an extremely high IQ and gifted which is not always a positive especially with public education.

St. Michaels the Arch Angel Catholic School is a fantastic school. The quality of the education is unmatched in Livonia MI. Best decision my wife and I made was sending our children here.

Being an alumnus for St. Michael, I was very excited to send my kids to the school that helped shape my faith formation. The community of parents is strong and very involved. The education they provide impressed me. They have STEM programs, Coding classes, and learn Spanish beginning in preschool. My child is super sensitive and struggles with confidence but thrives at school tremendously. I love when my kids come home excited about what they learned along with all the faith formation.We applaud how the staff and faculty handled the 2021 school year. With implementation of safety protocols, they were successful in keeping the school open for the year. We highly recommend this school.

We moved our kids to Public School... the paperwork came home with my kindergartner ...I can't believe my kid was top in his classroom at st michael, most of kid in his classroom cannot read by their own. my son can read by his own, and do math "plus" "minus" before he started at St Michael Kindergarten.... but he was a little bit fallen behind in public school... Not sure about "better education in St Michael"??!! They can't address kids, especially kids are fallen behind on reading....no special program for those kids ...and parents spent so much money on this school but end up had to move their kids to public school... St Michael has very very poor and limited in resources

After spending over 40K for my kid's 1-8 education and seeing him graduated with 90% in Algebra 2, it was hard for me to realize that he scored 27% in his Math placement test for high school. If you are a parent concerned with academics, go someplace else.

On Monday I graduated St. Michael's. As a student the past nine years were truly amazing. I honestly can't say anything bad about St. Mikes other than I wish there was a highschool. We often call ourselves a family, we really are a family. Teachers will help you at anytime, the students are there for each other and our great principal knows what's going on. One thing about out principal is that she know all of the students names. We have 3 grades per class, about 30 kids per class (give or take) and I like it because it gives us a chance to have so many friends. Like I said we are a family so come and join the family.

Great school! I have three kids that attend St. Michael in Livonia. They are all thriving academically and love their school. The sense of community here is more then we could have hoped for. My kid are spread apart in age, but even when at an event, my 1st grader is always treated well and played with by kids from all grade levels. Our principle is amazing and knows every child by name. Highly recommend this school.

Our 3 children attended St. Michael's from K-8. Each of them have since gone on to excel at highly acclaimed high schools, colleges and graduate schools of their choice, having been exceedingly well prepared by the faculty and staff at St. Michael's. My wife and I have often remarked that St. Michael's is an integral part of the foundation upon which our childrens' academic, spiritual, social, and athletic formation and achievements have been built. We will be forever grateful to the St. Michael's family for fostering the same values and commitment to excellence that our children have been exposed to within our own home. Go Gaels!

I am fortunate to be both teaching and have my four children attending St. Michael's School. I am a prior public school teacher and was very excited be a part of a truly dedicated staff and among supportive families. St. Michael's offers an academically challenging environment and a Michigan Standards-based curriculum. My oldest child has gone on to accelerated high school classes and felt he had a solid background behind him. My children also have enjoyed the wide variety of after-school opportunities and have established good relationships with their teachers. You need to come in and take a look for yourself.

While teaching at St. Michael's, I observed some well meaning educators. The school is very limited in resources. While the computer lab is okay, the classroom that I worked in was very small and ill equipped to serve the very large class sizes. I had about 36 students per class. I also encountered a culture that is very outdated. The administration didn't support contemporary educational philosophy. This may change when new leadership is instated. In addition to the dusty methods that I was asked to follow, I found many students to be much more negative toward work than students than at other facilities.
