My kid just finished a year with Mrs. Meghan Callahan. She was out standing. Really a bright spot. My boy spent the first half of school year crying because he did not want to leave me. She was so patient and kind and firm and helped him along with the help of Mrs. Rayfan and Mrs. Mannion. She constantly went above and beyond with weekly updates and photos of our kids which she arranged into an album for every kid. She found extra help for my son as he struggled with reading and writing and now he is keeping up with his peers. His confidence has grown a lot, so much so that he was able to participate in the kindergarten play. I am so disappointed that she won't be there for future generations of kids. She was beyond excellent. And I know, I know, before I had a kid go through kindergarten I thought, "how hard could it be not to mess up kindergarten level learning?" Watching and interacting with Mrs. Callahan this year has taught me, there's levels to this and Mrs. Callahan is at the highest level.Mrs. Callahan gets 6 stars. The school gets 4 for somehow not finding a way to keep her around. i mean i get budgets and room but when you have excellence you find a way to make it work, thats your job as an administrator. Learn to finagle for goodness sakes.
