I would absolutely recommend this school to any friend. My son has been to schools from Fremont to Dublin. They were rated top schools as well. But my son didnt have as much fun and as much learning as compared to his time in Ranchos. This school is great. I love the staff here. everyone is nice and kind.

From our first interaction with Rancho Las Positas, it was clear that this wasn't just another school. It's a place where education transcends the traditional boundaries of learning, where every child is seen, heard, and valued. The school's commitment to academic excellence is evident in every classroom, every teacher's approach, and the innovative programs they offer. My child has been introduced to a world of knowledge, from STEM to arts, in ways that spark curiosity and a love for learning. What truly sets Rancho Las Positas apart, though, is its heart—the community. Walking through the school, you're greeted with smiles, a sense of warmth, and an unmistakable feeling of belonging. Diversity is not just accepted but celebrated, creating an environment where every student can thrive. This inclusivity, coupled with a strong emphasis on values like respect and kindness, has been instrumental in my child's personal growth.Parental involvement is another cornerstone of the school's philosophy. We've always been encouraged to play an active role in our child's education, fostering a partnership that I believe is key to any child's success. The open lines of communication and numerous volunteering opportunities have made it easy to stay engaged and contribute to the vibrant school community.Above all, the safety and well-being of students are paramount at Rancho Las Positas. The staff's dedication to creating a secure and positive learning environment allows us, as parents, to have peace of mind knowing our children are in good hands.Reflecting on our time at Rancho Las Positas, I am filled with gratitude for the profound impact it has had on our lives. It's more than a school—it's a community that nurtures, challenges, and prepares our children for the future. If you're considering Rancho Las Positas for your family, I wholeheartedly encourage you to take that step. It has been a remarkable journey for us, one that I hope your family gets to experience too.

An exceptional school, with an exceptional Principal. Mr. Martin cares, and it trickles down to everyone under his management. We joined this school two weeks before the pandemic began. Even throughout the challenges of distance learning, and then returning to school, we have felt there is genuine care and concern for the well-being of every student at this school. My child has an IEP, and they have received phenomenal support, and they have thrived. We feel so lucky this is our neighborhood school. Our previous school district was horrible, so we have a lot of perspective to compare and contrast. This is as good as public education gets.

Agree. Teachers are not helping any. Many times noticed teacher ignoring emails from parents. She is NOT responsible teacher.

The principal, staff, teachers and volunteers work hard to make every child realize their potential in not only academics but also in extra curricular activities. They promote scientific temper and the faculty encourage in participating in community related activities which help the children grow holistically.

Rancho Las Positas was a godsend for our family. We moved to the area a few years ago and I am thankful that we ended up in such a wonderful school. It is a pleasure to have my kids there.

Best community of teachers/parents/faculty and students! PTA is exceptional and the parent involvement is incredible. This school promotes education first and foremost but community spirit is a high priority. Principal Martin is heavily involved in the daily activities as well as all of the school functions. We are a proud Rancho family!

We love Rancho, the principal and teaching staff. We did an inter-district transfer and couldn't be happier. Our son has a 504 Plan and the principal, along with the teachers have always been very good at communicating with us, along with accommodating and understanding of our child. We feel that Rancho is a hidden gem in Livermore and we are so thankful that our son loves going to school every day! The school community is strong and you can tell that the teachers seem happy.

We really enjoy Rancho and the teaching staff. All of the teachers are engaging and looking to work with parents to to provide the best experience for each child. Parent involvement could be higher in PTA and in the classrooms.

I am a huge Rancho fan! My daughter is about to start her third year at Rancho and we can't be more excited. Even though we moved all the way to the other side of town i still drive her to Rancho everyday becasue of how much we love the teachers and all the staff. We love the running program they put into place with every grade and they make it so much fun for the kids. Rancho is also very big on anti bullying. This is an all around amazing school :)

Not helpful to kids with disabilities. My son has autism and unfortunately we have had issues with the teacher this year, who is not abiding by the 504 plan that was in place. Overall it was a good school up until this year. The principal is new to Rancho, so he's just getting a feel for the school himself. We have had to pay extra for music (it's now an extracurricular activity with ABC music providing that), and PE was also taken out although they seem to be interested in everyone's BMI. Glad this is our last year at this school.

Oh my Gosh!! Rancho to us was like finding a little Gold mine in our back yard!! The principal is Awesome!! He is so engaged with the students and makes going to school exciting! The teachers are wonderful and do all they can to make Rancho a great school. My child loves it and will be very sad to be leaving in a couple of years. Thank you Rancho for caring so much for our children!!

We are new to Rancho this school year after being at 2 other elementary schools in the Livermore district. I have to agree with all the other reviews that this is one "great school." My child is getting special education services and we have had some issues arise however, the staff and principal are just so wonderful and kind. They are on top of everything and really care about their students. At our previous school, the teacher was good but principal only cared about the test scores and didn't even know my child's name. It's so nice to finally be at a school where everyone is on the same page!
