I honestly recommend this school for every child. Our family believes that every child is smart in their own way and Spark matches our vision. This was my child's first year in the school system and we are very happy and proud of everything he learned. The directors and staff really made my child bloom this year. My son loves his school and is always more than ready to enter his classroom every day. We can really feel that each teacher loves what she does and transmits that love to the children. Very grateful to have Spark in our lives !!

As a mom of a sensitive and easily distracted boy this school has simply been a blessing on every level. Based on kindness, neuro-diversity and developmentally appropriate learning, they really take each child's unique spark and feed it to burn brightly. They not only address academics engagingly, but also social-emotional learning and mindfulness. Their holistic approach is part of the curriculum and they are actually on top of current educational research and implement it (like no home-work!) I highly recommend this school.

Spark Elementary is an outstanding school that focuses on the child’s mind, emotions, and academic knowledge. Mindfulness breaks each period help the students refocus before continuing onto the next class. Kids (and teachers) bounce into school with smiles, excited to start the day!

Amazing experience from all aspects. Teachers, directors and staff are remarkable and truly interested in the development of each child as an individual. Would never recommend another place after this school.

This school is absolutely amazing! I am blown away by the compassion and love they have for all the children. The individual reading support is something you can not find anywhere else. The development of the whole child, mind body and spirit is what they focus on! They help to build children who are confident, compassionate, kind and also excel academically. I am a special education teacher as well as an integrative health and wellness coach. This school fits my vision like no other! My oldest daughter struggles with memory retention and academic skills. Once I found this school I fell in love, and now that both my girls are there and doing exceptionally well, I know I made the best choice for them. My oldest child is soaring with all the support she receives, and her anxiety and feelings of inadequacy have diminished. They are so much in alignment with all a naturally minded parent would want for their child, so that’s just an added bonus to having my girls attend! We found an amazing community at this school and we are thrilled to be a party of it!

My son and I recently visited the Kid Esteem school. We sat in the second grade class and instantly fell in love with the teacher and the school. It felt like such a fun, safe, and relaxable environment for my son to learn in. The teacher stood out to me the most. She was so genuinely nice and very natural when she was speaking to me. I am eager for my son to be starting in the fall.

My granddaughter is in kindergarten and also attended the preK program here. They are a fantastic school! The staff is so caring of everyone that walks threw their front doors. They provide a hands on approach for the different curriculums, smaller classes, more one on one help if needed. Green and Global Consciousness.

KID ESTEEM is in my opinion the most caring and strongly structured education for my child. My daughter is benefiting from the low ration per student to teacher, which gives the teacher the opportunity to work one on one and provide each and every student different reading material etc, based on the potential of the student. The staff is nurturing and caring, and most of all safety is top notch. I highly would recommend Kid Esteem for any parent looking for the highest quality of education in a family setting

Kids Esteem has been a great experience for my daughter who attends their Pre K program. The teachers are excellent and nurturing and the entire school community is so warm and accommodating. My daughter struggled with going to school initially so when it came time to move her from a 3 hour day to a 5 hour day I was concerned. The school suggested we elongate her day an hour at a time and give her room to acclimate. Then add the second hour when she was ready. I was so appreciative that they were willing to be flexible and accommodate the needs of my child. It worked wonderfully.

This is our first year at Kid Esteem and we could not have been happy. They are such a nurturing, loving and caring group of teachers and dedicated staff. My daughter is excited to learn each day and always walks out with a big smile. We look forward to many more years with Kid Esteem!!!

My son is in his second "preschool" year with this school, and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the school or with his progress. Our older child went to public kindergarten, and my younger son has already surpassed that curriculum at Kid Esteem, at 4 years old. The first thing we noticed about this school is that the teachers and staff genuinely care about all of the students, and they really get to know them on an individual level. Dr. Lee's lessons on emotions have helped our younger son in so many ways, as well. He can actually verbally express what's bothering him instead of throwing a tantrum. And he'll tell you exactly what emotion he's feeling (frustration, anger, excitement etc.), which has helped the whole family. They cover more than reading and math. They encourage socializing, give nature classes, teach life skills (child-sized ones), and offer other things like yoga and basic sign language. We would highly recommend this school for all parents looking to give their children a well-rounded and excellent education.

Very happy here. My children have totally different personalities and have really matured and learned how to be excellent readers and love to learn. Lots of interactive class room time. Small classes, they know the kids really well and what excites them. Many types of Art, nature, and social problem awareness along with class lead resolutions, which you don't find emphasized much in larger schools. Classes are limited so there can be a wait. But its worth it for the personalized attention.

Our daughter is currently a third grader in the kid esteem montessori school. The teacher my child has is fantastic! She is working wonders with my daughter! I can see that the teacher invests a lot of time in her teaching both in and out of the classroom. We are immensely proud of our daughter and we would love to thank her teacher for all her hard work too!! Thank you!!

Our daughter began here in Sept 2012 as a 3rd grader. She had such poor elementary school learning experiences in both public school and another private school that she had severe school-related anxiety. That ended when she began at Kid Esteem. She is flourishing there. The teacher is engaged and engaging. The whole staff works cooperatively to provide the best education experience for each child. The teacher and directors are also willing to listen and respond to my questions, concerns and/or comments. No matter what your child's school needs, little or many, this school is fabulous!

My son started in February, since we didn't like the preschool my son was previously attending. My son had no problem adjusting, and was welcomed with open arms. This school is everything and more than what I expected. My son loves going everyday and has learned so much! The teachers are amazing, and most of all patient; you can tell they really care about your child which is very important to me. I would recommend this school to anyone!

Recently purchased MSL is now called Kid Esteem Montessori School. The school is run by Marianne & Lee Chasen, certified teachers and licensed creative arts therapists. They promote social and emotional learning in addition to the NY Standard Math, Spelling, Social Studies, ect. Each child feels special as soon as they walk in the door. What a great school. We LOVE it... Please check it out. It is really worth the investment in your children development as student and as part of our community. The best kept secret in Long Island NO MORE. This is simply the best. The dedication to the individual child is amazing. We just start at this school year 2011-2012 year & we have not been disappointed. I have a 6yr child that love to go to school and is excited to going to the 2nd grade at Kid Esteem Montessori. That kind of request speaks volumes. We are so happy with this school and feel this is one of the best schools on Long Island. We are grateful we found it.
