I couldn’t agree more with the previous review from November 2020Principal is so unprofessional, never helpful, yelling and hanging up on the phone...what can you expect from the school with such principle??((

Overall, I would have to rate this school a 2. There are many wonderful teachers at the school but if you fall outside of the cookie cutter mold this is a difficult place to thrive. If you are an engaged parent who can work at the school, you will feel welcomed. Otherwise, if you have any kind of issue you are an outsider, and that is made blatantly clear. A complete lack of partnership. Issues are dismissed, the school is defensive, and therefore problems do not get resolved.

If I could give this car a -10 rating I absolutely would. If you want to be treated like garbage, disrespected, told you and your child are liers and made out to feel like youre doing everything wrong... Then this is the perfect school for you! Also, I feel like this needs to be said.... You will only find teachers who are white women at this school. You will not see any diversity whatsoever. Super alarming to me. Not one man or ethnicity seen at all. I will say I am a white women who went to one of the most diverse schools in the US... So to see only Caucasian women here... That was a big red flag to me.

I STRONGLY discourage any parent from sending their children here. You will be alone in your fight for your child... which is exactly what your year will be like: a fight. You WILL NOT be heard and the principal will always choose her "buddy" teachers over anything you have to say.

The teachers are FANTASTIC! the principal is the most unprofessional person I've ever encountered . I think the head of school needs to be leading by example. Talking to parents about children and incidents that those parents are not involved in is very unprofessional! I will be pulling my children from Linden schools.

I have had very good luck with the selection of my daughter's teachers. I am finding the new Principal to be awesome.I love the specials teachers this year, and the kitchen staff is super nice to my daughter.I do think there needs to be something done about the aids there. More specifically the recess aids. They are harsh on the kids and punish all children for the actions of a few. They have blow a whistle directly in my daughters ear, and have yelled at her for picking stuff up off the ground when she was only tying her shoe. My daughter is a talker, but other than that has NEVER been in trouble at school. It has made my daughter dislike recess time. I have heard many other students and parents who have had complaints and run ins with them and about them. I am sad she will be leaving her teacher this year and moving onto a different school. Mrs. Joslin and Mrs. Rueckert have been fantastic role models and teachers for my daughter.

This is my sons first year in elementary school he is only in kindergarten and he was very attached to me and his teacher (Mrs. Hanak) did such an amazing job transitioning him into being unattached at me. My son has learned so much already reading, writing, math and lots more. I am in the Swartz creek school district and I am VERY happy I did school of choice to Linden and even happier he goes to Hyatt.
